I said it was my "first game of the week". He responded, in what I can only describe as a condescending tone, that I had an 8 week streak on CS2 and therefore it could not be my first!

A rookie error on greekviper's part, I'm afraid. As the more astute and arithmetically-inclined amongst you will have already clocked, he had mistaken "of the week" for "in a week". But I did not, in fact, imply a 7-day period of absence.

This was on a Wednesday. It is entirely plausible that I had not played on Monday or Tuesday. I would not necessarily have lost my streak over the course of a mere two days inactivity. I pointed this out to him and he humbly conceded defeat in the battle of wits.

You have to wake up very early in the morning to catch me out. Better set that alarm a little earlier.
