It really hurts to say this since I have been waiting for this for some time now, but this game is just... Bad.

in short - the story is abysmal, voice acting is mid, character animations in the new cutscenes are grubhub commercial level bad, gameplay is simplified to the point its a detriment, and its short to boot

Previous lore is hand waved away and what bits we get seem more like pandering. The main character is Rey level of Mary Sue, as a matter of fact, the entire story could be compared to the Star Wars sequels in feel. With the horrible writing, I felt no connection to the entire cast, including the villain. There was no impact in the story, no "Kharak is burning" moment or anything similar. Plus very little explanation on certain major aspects of the story, especially surrounding the big bad faction. The entire game just seems hollow.

I do not recommend this game. I just beat the campaign and immediately uninstalled. I am going to go back to the original Homeworld games that actually had heart.

A truly fantastic game, I have not had this much fun with a new game in a very, very long time. That, plus reconnecting with old friends, had made it a very unique experience among modern games.

Absolutely phenomenal. From the story, the writing, the voice acting, the gun play, everything.

It made me feel like I was going through Ep2 again, with all the emotions. I can not recommend this enough.

It really does pain me to write this but the game is just a hollow shell. The stories of the films have been reduced to the absolute minimum with tiny, buggy levels. Barely any character uniqueness as they all fall under set classes, characters in each class share the same exact abilities no matter what the character is.

Most of the game is you just running from point A to point B with little to no combat, building, or anything.

I had to refund it, it is not worth the full price tag. I don't even know how much it would be worth on sale as it stands. And I do doubt that a lot of these problems will be fixed as they seem to be core aspects of the game play now. Don't waste your money here, buy the Complete Saga. it still has heart.

The story is absolutely great, a lot of thought and love was put into it. I just fininshed my second playthrough.
All other aspects of the game, however, are bad - I would stay away from multiplayer entirely.
