Early Access Review
9/10 - Get this Game
Only negative I have against it is that it isn't fully released yet. I will likely re-review this with far more hours, but I can't recommend this game enough.

It gets quite difficult, but also gives you the tools to train against those difficult monster attack patterns. The controls are smooth, all the pieces fit very nicely, and the gentle introduction to more complex mechanics and challenges keeps challenging you to do a little better next time!

Your difficulty moving through each run is decided by your own choices, everything feels fair game-play wise. The game-play loop in its entirety keeps me coming back to love just another few monsters--and then my greed breaks my heart :( I'll be giving quickplay a lot of love and gametime before I beat higher difficulties.

The story and atmosphere are a little strange, but they have such a charm to them, such detail in the world being slowly brought to light. You can't hardly throw a heart around in this game without unlocking more secrets, plus the music is perfect for these beautiful and strange bosses.

This game is one thing and one thing only; dopamine. This game is unfairly fun, why would you even play anything else with how much this game rewards you?

If you're coming to a David Cage game for gameplay, you're in the wrong place. The gameplay itself amounts to quicktime events and very simple problem solving and puzzles.

The story on the other hand, and the decisions you can make within that story, paint a world that is expansive and interesting. Each of the three characters you play tug at a different piece of the whole story that is being presented here. The world is gorgeous, the graphics are fantastic, the scenery and set pieces are fantastic, but where the game really shines is the conversations you'll have about it when you're done.

Me and three of my friends have played, watched, or otherwise experienced Detroit: Become Human, and I can say, that for every hour I've played this game, I've spent two discussing this game.

My friends and I got into a very meta discussion about this game at one point. "What do you think David Cage wanted, besides money, when making this game?" and I think he wanted us to talk about it. It's very memorable, very intriguing, and very well polished in this steam release. If you've never played, I can't recommend it enough.

Not for men who prefer their girls more 'bottom' heavy, move along fellow Americans.

Yahtzee on Space?? I can't recommend it as an entertaining game, but I can recommend it as a way to pass times while you wait for ques on other games. I've never played another game like it, honestly, so for what it's worth, it fills what niche it has.

I've owned it forever, thought about it very little, and at the price point it's doing it's job.

This game is the only game that soothes my weary soul.
Would recommend to everyone.

Ubisoft makes another Open World Game. My friends tell me it will probably be bad. I don't care, Watch_Dogs was fun, this should be too. My friends expect it to be a 'diversity cop-out'. I buy it anyways, being weary of a 'girls in gaming' or 'racism in gaming' preachy vibe.

Instead I get a great game, with a lot of commentary on the power of near future tech companies and classism in the modern era that doesn't seem to come from an era of messy political statements taking over everything.

I like to think of the Civ games as Electronic Board Games. From their turned based nature, to unit placement strategies, down to the bonuses from standing on certain tiles. Everything you love about the Civ series is done very well in this title. Personally, I recommend this game to everyone who enjoys high level strategy at your own sweet pace. In this game, you play as the leader of a civilization of your choice over the span of it's existence. You can win though score (if you're on a timed game), military might, cultural dominance, delicate diplomacy, or from LAUNCHING YOURSELF OFF THE PLANET. You build cities as to build troops or wonders or factories or spaceship parts to achieve your long term goal. Some civilizations are better at certain victories, some aren't very good at all. Be sure to figure out which suits your playstyle the best.

Playing by yourself, the AI may not be the best, (with the ability to hold grudges longer than most countries exist in real life and a deep desire to backstab you if given the chance,) but they are at least worthy but fair opponents as compared to other AIs in the Civ Series. Playing with your friends leads to Monopoly levels of relationship shattering fun, and it's not really that hard to pick up on what you should do to win. The DLCs for this game are unfortunately essential, as if you don't have them and your friends do, they probably won't want to play much with you. The DLCs change the game and the dynamics in good ways, so be sure to pick them up. Most of all, in this game, never trust Ghandi in the Atomic Era, and don't play against Babylon.

Tl;dr: Civ 5 > Civ 6, play it until those devs finally decide to fix their latest game.
