The first time I played Counter Strike it was as a mod for Half Life on my dad's PC, Counter Strike: Source dominated a large portion of my teen years, I bought CS:GO when it first came out, and I eventually played the CS2 beta and the full game that followed. Two plus decades and I have never stopped coming back. Counter Strike is a genre defining and ground-breaking FPS game with mechanics that will improve your gaming skills in all aspects from audio spacial awareness to cursor placement. The OG community of CS is absolutely one of a kind, and you will lose large portions of your life if you happen to find a group of good friend to play casual with. Competitive and Premiere are always a good options too, where success is born from practice and the ability to communicate. Testing both your skill and nerve under pressure. Finally, I do long for the return of maps and game modes lost in the void between CS:GO and CS 2, but I guess that's Valve's way of keeping us engaged, a part of the charm maybe. But I know I'll still be here if that content ever does make its return.

This game is trash. I played it one time for 52 minutes in single player before my computer started to overheat so I took a break. A week later when I went to boot the game again I had received a life-time ban with the reason listed in a foreign language. When I went to appeal this ban Activision sent me an automated response about being unable to process my ban with no ability to reply or talk to a real person. This game was a massive waste of $72 in my book. I've asked for a refund and I hope nobody else buys this dumpster fire of a product.
