This game is amazing and beautiful. The soundtrack is so freakin' good. How this isn't a mainstream FF game by SE I don't know, its just so dang good.

TL:DR game is kinda badly designed and a pain to play. Maybe come back in a year.

This game was built in a way that makes it a pain to play. Its not the quests, skills(if they had any), or any of the usual things that might be hard... Its the game system itself. The interface is a pain, the game makes it a pain in the neck to even fight anything, and its so clunky and there are so many windows and sub-windows just to start combat you feel like you are declaring war in Stellaris every time you want to kill a random mob. Each "screen" or map is tiny, laughably so, Starfield levels of loading into new stages, and its a pain to travel because you can only click on the map to travel two rooms over regardless of the sizes of a room. Thank god there aren't too many indoor areas so far because it would be painful just to walk through a series of rooms.

Controls are a joke, they make you choose your class before you can even get any abilities or know what kind of gear you can equip, your gear is locked between each area so you have to have completely different sets of weapons depending upon what area you are in, and the QoL just isn't there. I liked the quests telling you where to look but not hand holding you, but it feels like the game designers wanted it to be a rough experience to just play the game. Its all meta frustration at the way they designed the interface and systems.

Combat isn't fun either, you will be doing 5-20 points of damage to all mobs your level, regardless of level, unless you are using undergeared stuff then you will be hitting for 0-10, or if you are fighting much lower level things when you might hit a 30. Itemization is bad because a level 16 blue or purple is better than a lv 22 item, to the point that you will be throwing out most new gear until you get a lucky high quality item.

This game is really good, its in EA but already has amazing visuals and experiences. The stuff you will see if you accidentally go into a map during night and come across the "clean-up crew" is just intense. There are bugs and QoL features that are yet to be implemented, and by the devs' own mouths this game is nowhere near complete, but I enjoy playing it still and find myself just looking at stuff half the time. I will legit just sit down and watch hell break loose as giant mechs fight tanks while cyborg zombies claw at foot soldiers who are in a last stand shooting non-stop. Game now is a good time, in a month it will be hype, in a year if its still alive it will be a big game. The devs seem to have good credit, because they just wrote a hell of a check to cash.

Game has been a buggy and unbalanced mess for a while. I waited all the drama out and I'm playing now when things are good. I would suggest playing it and trying it out. The game is actually really fun and the bugs cause some hilarious friendly fire incidents. Oh yeah, be prepared to accidentally kill your friends or have them kill you. Game seems to be much more balanced and stable than it was, still some issues but they can be fun at times too.

Early story is not the best, but there are a few very hype moments. Gameplay itself is AMAZING, really great combat and a lot of interesting systems.

Game has a few bugs, but only one required I reload. Story is awesome, world is beautiful and immersive. I'm still in the tutorial, I've been playing this game for 5 hours as a packrat looter grabbing every piece of junk I can, from burritos on a random table to a guitar pick off a restroom floor... I have issues and Cyberpunk lets me scratch those looter itches. Guns and weapons are very interesting. Level up mechanics are SO OPEN that I honestly believe I will be able to enjoy a second or third playthrough without replicating anything from my first.

CDPR has a history of having poor game launches, but within a week they have always turned it around, released patches to fix issues, and made the game shine. Witcher 2 and 3 had the same issues at launch.

Negatives that are in the game by design:
Driving isn't the best, but you get in game benefits from running and walking around, and also the world is so pretty that I like walking around in it.
The skip chat key and toggle crouch key are on the same for keyboards, so I accidentally skipped a few dialogues trying to get loot before I rebound the key.
Some of the button choices are a bit annoying but you can rebind most of them.

Positives:
You have seen the videos, commercials, and other things showing you why you would want to play the game. All I will say is that those commercials didn't do it justice. This isn't JUST bringing Cyberpunk onto a game, it adds a lot of new systems that are really interesting and cool.

Current issues: There are some bugs and glitches, but most don't impact gameplay or require a reset. There are also a lot of issues with people not updating their graphics card drivers and that is causing a lot of false positive negative reviews.

Larian have done another amazing job at making a fun game. I have failed a bunch of rolls in a very D&D way. Seems like I make a lot of the important rolls. The game system is very similar to divinity: Original Sin, but updated to D&D's playstyle. Still experimenting, but so far I see a lot of environmental combos and really interesting synergies.
