UK/EU servers just don't exist.

Only buy currently if you're fine with 300ms games against unemployed losers 24/7

Customisation being locked behind a paywall, no arcade quest from the original VF5 release, and a very lackluster ranked experience.

It's just a PC port of an already 10 year old game, it's a fun time waster if Tekken and or Street Fighter have gotten stale, but it's literally just that.

Only buy if you're willing to be frustrated nearly 24/7.

On the first session with friends we did the following.

-Collect an arsenal of weapons able to make an american weep.
-Befriend a fluffy friendly dog!
- bunker down at a camp, this game is cosy!
-fluffy friendly dog proceeds to EXPLODE and murder my friends.
-forced to put angry evil dog down
-promptly gets eaten by a giant earthworm

I don't know what the developers are smoking at Bandai Namco, but for once I don't want any of it, especially if it turns you into a immobile blob who's only capabilities are butchering a beloved fighter series.

Like seriously? It's hard to be upset, I'm just shocked and in disbelief.

Phasmophobia, where do I even begin.

It has great atmosphere, genuinely tense moments and an abundance of content.. until you have over 24hrs of time spent and it all becomes a repeating cycle of mundane and almost uninspired recycled ideas, scenarios and feelings.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Phasmophobia as a concept, but the games slow and rather uncoordinated development has forced Phasmophobia further, and further into obscurity.

There has been no new Ghost types since the 30th of October, 2021.
There has been no new maps (leaving out map reworks) since the 30th of October, 2021.

There has however been reworks to maps as stated above, changing layouts and entire areas to provide a much needed breath of fresh air.

The store rework, level progression and item refinement update was 'Phasmophobia's biggest' update to date, however all this did was reset everyone's progress, and add tiered items which do no more than add pointless bells and whistles to already balanced and pre-existing decently performing items with the added price of grinding to get them.

Phasmophobia went from an atmospheric, solo and or cooperative psychological supernatural puzzle game hybrid, to a washed, almost borderline ceased project with how little the game has been updated as of recently.

The last update log for Phasmophobia reads; 'Removed Easter Update' - No new bug fixes? Optimisation Patches? Nothing to celebrate about.

Phasmophobia is in dire need of new content, ghosts, maps, items, oh yeah, and a console release which was promised over a year ago which we have had zero feedback and or written comment on it's progress from the Developers.

All in all, Phasmophobia is an amazing horror game to play with friends, you'll get a few scary moments and you'll 100% be afraid to go into the house alone for a few hours of playtime, we've all been there.

Until then, the developers 100% need to allow mod support through Thunderstore and or R2ModMan, and even open Phasmophobia to the Steam Community Workshop, as nearly 3 years without a new ghost type and or new model is borderline lazy.

Thanks for reading, this review is in no way shape or form a 'negative review' to hound on the developers, I just wish this game that I have cherished closely for nearly 4 years received some more TLC from the devs :)
