This game is great fun. With strong influences from Starship Troopers and game play somewhere between the third person view in Destiny and Gears of War, this game is going to give you hours of fun.

If you like any of the above, then check this out.

Nothing much anyone can say now about this game that hasn't already been told. The game is a great little diversion from your daily routine and you can find yourself in that just one more game mode. Very simple graphics but totally engaging game play. Well worth installing on you system and ideal for steam deck too.

I originally played this game on the PlayStation 4 Pro and then the PS5, it isn't often I triple dip in a game but this is one of the few.

The PC version is really stable and look beautiful on a 3080 with ray tracing and details set to high or very high.

Pros:
Great game that is fun to play
Good story
Lots to do
Swinging through New York
It's Spider-man

Cons
My PC can sound like a whaling banshee when playing
Not Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield or Tobey Maguire
Just a few too many collectables across the map

These are certainly the type of game that you either like or hate. The pace of the game is much slower that a normal shooter. In this game the focus is on stealth and accuracy rather than running and gunning.

This game does nothing the previous one's did do, but as normal it does what it does well.

Worth a go!

Great game which builds on the first although this story-wise is a prequel to Little Nightmares.

Hellblade is one of my favourite games on any format. It may not be the longest game to play but it has an incredible story and beautiful graphics. It give a facinating story linked to mental health. While the base combat appears simplistic in it's movements, there is a grace and cunning you will need to develop on the harder difficulty settings later on in the game. Puzzles in the game are well thought out and provide added interest as do the stones which provide information about the lore.

One of the most original aspects of the game is the lack of any visual HUD, instead opting for information being deleivered to you through disembodied voices. For full effect this game must be played with a headset. It is a totally awesome experience either in the VR version or normal.

VR adds a whole new dimension for this game. Although not presently stated on the Steam page, this game supports Windown Mixed Reality as well as HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. Using VR there is a definate step down in quality of the visuals as opposed to playing this game on a 4K screen beacuse you are so much closer to the textures, but the game still looks so beautiful. The game still plays in third person view but with the disembodied voices that only adds to the atmosphere of the game.

Overall a fantastic game from Ninja Theory who also created the brilliant Enslaved: Odyssey to the West game which is also in my favourite games.

A complete must have game!

This was one of those games which I felt came out of nowhere and blindsided me.

It is a fantastic story of Senua and her troubles with her own demons all wrapped up in a beautiful world of myth and madness. You take an incredible journey with Senua through a world inspired by Norse mythology and Celtic culture. You play the part of Senua, a Pict warrior who is making her way through Helheim, battling enemies and facing various challenges in order to rescue the soul of your dead lover from the goddess Hela.

The game is as much as a metaphor for Senua’s struggle with psychosis which she refers to as a curse. The game is also a mixture of different genres including combat, problem solving and psychological horror. The acting in this game is first class and there is brilliant use of motion capture mixed with live action.

While you may be forgiven thinking this is just another in a long line of third person games, the game, while relatively short, about 7.5 hours, is enthralling and uses sound in the most unique way, giving an audio HUD using whispering voices rather than on screen strength bars and radars. This is a game to be played with headphones, preferably 7.1 surround sound.

For me this was my game of the year when it was released in 2017 as a PC and PS4 console exclusive, but is now also available on the Xbox One.

This game received a lot of bad press at the original release because of how broken the game was and the over use of the Batmobile mechanic in the game. Aftrer revisiting this game over a year later I have had a complete blast. This is a fine example of a Batman game with a gripping story, good gameplay and a fully flushed out world. I experienced no problems with the gameplay which run without error on my PC.

There are a few sections which do use the Batmobile, but once you get used to it they are fun. The controls for the Batmobile feel like they have also been tweaked which makes those levels more playable. If you love Batman then don't miss this.
