Another masterpiece! I'd say It Takes Two is still slightly better, but this is still an absolute gem.

Sure, there are still some minor issues to be worked out, but I hope those will all be solved with the full release.

With the full release will also come a more in-depth review from me (if I can remember to do this lol).

A game like this greatly benefits from multiplayer - Not starting with multiplayer is a very poor decision, especially when you consider that from a technical standpoint it's not going to get easier to implement multiplayer later in development. Then doubling down on that bad decision and putting multiplayer at the very end of your own roadmap is a truly moronic choice. What were they thinking? Do better.

A really great sequel, through and through!

The factory must grow beyond Nauvis!

Lemme just give you the TLDR real quick (played 1.0 Release):

It's a decent-ish factory builder, but with a focus on exploration. In terms of glitches, this game HAS IT ALL. Serious polishing MISSING across the board!


It feels like they care more about the surface-level looks (nice models & animations) than the heavy workload of a true factory game. In our 162 multiplayer playthrough all kinds of bugs/issues became routine quickly: Game crashes (clients), visual glitches, terrain/map errors everywhere, visual glitches and issues, constant FPS issues when inside a decent factory (from stable 60 to ~25), buildings glitching out and not producing/not being able to configure buildings and many more.

Now, here it comes, the required comparison to *Factorio*, and it's not even close! Factorio is just so much better in almost everything it does. Yes, it doesn't look as pretty, but if you mainly care about building a factory then go with Factorio, that's an easy one. Also the train system in Satisfactory is just so horrible that it almost drove me insane.

Yet, I still enjoy Satisfactory and it's a good game, but it will probably never live up to Factorio.

The best addiction you will ever have!

Super fun, cannot believe this is free!

Quality-wise *almost* indistinguishable from the base game.
