After finishing the dlc I found it really challenging and enjoyable even though I wanted to smash my controller after every boss fight I came across. Very worth the money I spent however my only complaint is the lack of need to travel. Sure you need to find the items to help buff your character. But I found minor enemies obsolete. In the main game I found myself wanting to fight each minor enemy to farm or challenge myself through areas however in the dlc there isn't really a need since I didn't feel the need to with the fragments I needed to find around the world.
