TLDR:

Farlight 84 (aka Cheaterlight 84) is a battle royale that could have brought some fresh air but, unfortunately, the rudimentary state it's in, the insane amount of cheaters infesting the lobbies, OP aim assist (which is basically aimbot at this point) and bad balancing took this game away from what it could have been.
If only developers showed a little more attention and love towards their game...

My conclusions:

The game is fun, but bugs and weird design choices (forced auto-loot, auto-jump, extreme aim assist and so on) makes this a not reccomended for me.
Devs clearly just ported over their mobile layout to PC and didn't really give a damn to their PC players, a really lazy move by them.
I really wonder why they ported this to PC if they're not gonna make basic PC design choices.
I'm afraid that if they don't do something in the short term regarding cheaters, OP aim assist and poor balancing, the game will die very soon.

Of course: if and when they fix the myriad of problems that the game has, I will be able to recommend it. (keep in mind that this title can't be competitive tho, BRs by their nature are never competitive since they rely too much on luck and on various factors that the single player cannot control.)

Overall the game is quite decent but the flaws it has mean that it does not reach the sufficiency, unfortunately... in short: a mobile port that with a little more love and attention from the developers could become a good competitor but, at the moment, it really gets lost in nonsense that could be solved in no time if only the developers cared enough.

PROS

• It's free
  
  
• Graphic is nice, fortnite-like and easily marketable and monetizable.
  
  
• Fairly optimized but it has micro-stutters since the last patch (06/05/2023)
  
  
• Contrary to what some reviews say: you can join friend's parties without paying.
  
  
• The footsteps sound is done decently, also because a 3D warning appears on the screen showing the accurate direction of the enemy if he is close enough. (personally I would remove this noob-friendly feature.)
  
  
• Every weekend (as far as I understood) there are events that, when played with a full-team, allows you to earn diamonds by climbing a world leaderboard.
  Not the easiest of methods but, at least, they offered a way to earn premium currency.

CONS

• "Aim assist" is literally aimbot.
  
  
• The amount of cheaters in this game is insane.
  
  
• Hitboxes/netcode sometimes can be pretty awful.
  
  
• There is no tutorial and the game is not very intuitive.
  
  
• Auto-loot system just s*cks, nothing more, nothing less.
  
  
• For "some reason" in this game women are slower than men. (you got the point)
  
  
• You can't change keybindings (which is absurd for a PC Game) and various settings such as FOV, screen resolution and in-depth graphic settings.
  
  
• The matchmaking doesn't work at all: 99% of the times you end 1v4 because MM isn't able to find other players to fill up your squad and you get matched with diamonds even if you are bronze.
  
  
• The balancing of some weapons and some characters is bad:
  Wingsuit damage, for example, is insane while some characters are poorly designed at best and most of them are exact copies of Apex Legends characters.
  
  
• The main menu looks like Las Vegas with a thousand lights and a thousand lootboxes to be opened using diamonds (the premium currency that can be obtained with real money) and the worst part is that you get TEMPORARY cosmetic items that expire after only twenty-four hours.
  
  
• The respawn system until mid-game should be reviewed, it nullifies the efforts made by the single player against the teams since they have a chance to respawn immediately after (already armed) and 90% of the times you are still healing from the fight you just won/still fighting, transforming the battlefield into a clusterf*ck.
  
  
• Devs and user support seem to be almost non-existent on both Discord and Steam threads, they invite you to leave your feedback on F A C E B O O K when they already have Discord, Steam and their own website to collect this things.
  The only interaction the developers have with their community are auto replies.
  
  
• Too much grinding needed for unlock other characters, which, in most cases, are way better than the standard ones.
  this game is a pay to win game masked as pay to progress.
  No one is looking for yet another game where you have to grind for months just to have the basis to be able to fight on a par with the credit card warriors.
