If you enjoyed Crystalline and want more Leanna Dawn, Ethereal Engima does not exactly match the expectation.

Compare to Crystalline, Ethereal Engima's title is kind of misleading; there's not much mystery and it's more of a slice of life story. Don't get me wrong, if you like Leanna, Erilynn is equally cool and attractive, but if you are here for an adventurous story, you are in the wrong place. Especially for those who wait for months between each episode releases. It's just a school drama.

PixelFade's strength is in the command of language and English VA quality, plus the animation as well. They got that right with this game. Fan service art is great too.

Personally I don't really want to click the thumbs up button, but in no way Ethereal Engima should get a thumbs down.

Anyway, all hail Dawn! all hail Dawn!

At first I thought the plot was tasteless, messy and subpar, but the suspense and decision-making elements turns out to be the spice of this game. Make your purchase choice on this alone.

Master-servant genre isn't a rare genre, but this game genuinely makes me consider each dialogue option carefully. The combination of managing a new household and searching for the traitor among your servants is quite an unique experience.

In this short episode, sometimes I act tough to establish authority, and sometimes I choose to be forgiving to my soft spot. And I am glad that my actions do have consequences.

Love you Misaki. Best waifu (totally biased).

Jerez's Arena strikes a balance between story, difficulty and freedom of choice. While you need a maintain a good balance of characters' statistics, you are generally free to train in whatever direction and accomplish the goals with your own preference. An enjoyable simulation game requires a good degree of freedom, and this game has it.

The UI and CG are great. Not stellar, but perfectly serviceable. The price tag is alright, but if you are not into prideful blonde noblewoman and lewd dark elf, you might find it a rip-off.

Surprisingly a good story for its length and "price tag".

There is a bit of visual violence but overall mild.

Main character is a coward but you will be surprised that the majority of people on this planet are as well. Game stories are usually fantasy and rosy, but hey, sometimes a dose of realism and a look on "sick" people can be entertaining.

Story writing is alright. Remember, some games charge you money for far worse writing.

Whether you are hardcore or casual, if you are a C&C fan, GET IT. Even at full price. It's just that simple. This remastered version nailed it. Mostly. Flaws exist but strengths outweigh it.

If you know nothing about C&C and want to try out a true RTS classic, maybe wait for a discount. Even a small price cut is a good buy, however.

The space-bar option allows you to switch back and forth between 1995 and 2020 graphics during the game. This alone just captures what fans and gamers want. Remastered games are primarily for nostalgia and this feature neatly delivered it.

The gameplay is generally not cluttered and it's simply amazing to play a 25 years old classic with no hassle. Just buy, download, and launch game. Ta-da. Achieving this is much harder than you can imagine, if you consider other failed endeavours.

Way to go, EA!

Really hate to say this cuz we know what that bloody company has been doing for the past two decades, but you gotta be fair.

If you like knight girls, that alone can warrant your purchase.
If you like nice CG and great animated character, this will be a nice buy.

If neither of the above, move along. Simple as that.
Re-read the above if you are still not sure.

Still can't make up your mind?
Ugh, kill me!

If you are attracted to the advertised "strategy" element, DON'T.

It is an illusion, and you must select appropriate options in a long chain to unlock the good ending. One single "bad" choice you made can easily throw you out of the story. Logic or caution won't save you, because there's pretty much only one single chain of options to achieve the goal.

If you are attracted to all sorts of humiliations or cruelty (bad end), then I suppose you will find this game fun.

The story did encourage me to improve the country, but the hopelessly lack of options just ruin the whole mood. I really wish my protagonist could fight back her terrible suffering, but the game forces you to swallow much of it. Heck, the first option of the game already drove me mad.

If you are here for the scene and voices, I think the game did alright. Much like what's advertised.

It's your choice to make the purchase. I don't recommend it, but it could be your cup of tea.
