REPO is a game for those who enjoy the co-op horror/comedy genre. They know their audience and extended the base player capacity to 6 (usually it's 4 people). They gave methods to fight back almost immediately against mobs, through their physics system. They made the game play loop interesting by having each map get larger as you progress, changing layouts as well.

Enough about what they did, if you look online and view REPO videos you can see people having tons of fun, and that in itself should speak volumes for why REPO is a must have.

Very amazing deck builder. I can only give it my bias. Here's a list of all the cool things I can think of:
-A large amount of 2d animation for all enemies and a large portion of every card.
-Engaging resource mechanic
-Spin on the rogue-like trend, you can move backwards
-All deck options feel really unique

That's it, I'm tired. thank you developers.

The combat is boring once you get to the open world.

This game has a crazy good premise, but unity cannot physically handle doing well in this game. The devs need to show game play of them beating this game or something, my game couldn't handle casting spells over and over again.

My specs are out of the question, I'm playing stuff like Total Warhammer 3 with 120 fps at max settings. This game is poorly optimized or something to that degree.

Small Saga overall is a very exciting game, with a lot of charm. I also enjoyed a lot of the references it had to pop culture I enjoy. Here's a list to lay out my thoughts.

Pros:
-Art is phenomenal. I love pixel art.
-Music is Superb. The OST had serious bangers throughout the whole experience, not a single song disappointed.
-Story is engaging, fun and tugged on emotional strings. The plot is genuinely appealing.
-The game is LGBT supportive in a way that it's not shoved in your face. A lot of media makes it a big deal, but this game makes it a small part of the story that gave the characters depth, treating it as passive part of the rodentian world rather than a badge.
-Characters were exciting, I was invested in each one relatively equally.
-Setting was surprisingly fresh. I'm a big fan of Redwall, Root and some other animal themed settings. I enjoyed how they used the UK as an environment that rodentia subsisted on, and overall has it's own little world under the human eye.

Cons:
-Although I did go out of my way to do as close to a 100% playthrough, the game was very short, I straight up bought it then binged the whole thing in one day. Though not everything needs days of gameplay to be a good experience.
-Game difficulty was lacking. I didn't struggle with a single fight, as most enemies could be destroyed in a single round, some bosses too.
-Mechanical Depth. In the summary, it was advertised as a JRPG style game with a large focus on boss fights. The fights were fun, and character progression was interesting. A mechanic early on was introduced where enemies would have resistances to certain types of attacks, it came up in maybe a total of three fights. Once the main character received their third move, and continuing on from there, the game became trivial. I managed to end many of the end-game bosses in one round, excluding fights where the MC wasn't present.
-Items. Adding onto the mechanics, because the game was so easy, I selected items that boosted offensive power, and the support character was genuinely only around to give extra turns, not once healing.

Summary/TLDR:
Small Saga is a really great adventure that doesn't overstay it's welcome, and very clearly has a lot of love & care put into it. However, it has the mechanical depth of a draining suburban pool.

Would recommend if you like other similar animal settings, or a simple JRPG with low investment.

This game is very quirky and memorable. The roles and co-op nature of the game are very dynamic. As rogue-like co-op card games go, this one is decent enough on it's own. However, this game suffers greatly from both the RNG elements of a deck builder, and the events system. There's a solved amount of strategy, especially with the forced purchase mechanic.

The forced purchase mechanic is the worst thing I've ever had to deal with. You're being taxed for not staying on top of the cruelties of the universe. There's a bit of bias here, I'm mainly just frustrated on how much this game attacked me with little agency to stop it.

Lastly, unless you're playing solo, the multiplayer is extremely buggy with the UI and connection. You'll find yourself full restarting with your whole co-op crew quite often. It's a seven year old game with major issues like this.

This game is an alpha. Test it out if you like programming-ish games, help it grow into a good game.

It's cute, but unplayable with how much pressure there is with the RNG and what not. I like roguelikes, but it's a genuine hastle to get a machine together that resembles dopamine.

This game has lots of potential. It has a really great concept, and what's available is more than half decent.

However, until it gets more major content, it's 2-3 hours of enjoyment at best.
