TLDR: Highly recommend this game!!

Picked up this game after seeing the stellar reviews of KCD2 and wanted to play the first one before jumping into KCD2 - and it was absolutely worth it.

Very very engaging game. There is a lot to do in this game and I recommend doing some adventuring and side quests. The DLC was fun, I accidentally did Theresa's DLC mission right at the start of the game which was challenging but a cool DLC.

I won't beat around the bush, this game had a huge learning curve for me when it comes to combat. It reminded me of running in on Chivalry and getting slices into bits minus the gore.
The skill levelling was nice and really let you define your own play style.

Highly recommend this game, very happy I didn't play until now (2025) because now I can continue my adventure in KCD2!

Very excited for what is to come. Currently running a Witch and Mercenary - prefer the Witch as I level up more. The game is very fun and I recommend just having fun with the passive skill tree, yeah it's big and intimidating but just follow your build.

I love that just when you "think" your build is untouchable or OP, a new enemy will come and put me in my place. A lot of variety to the enemies. Yes the maps are large but I'd rather that than too small :D besides, you never know what random orange titled enemies you might come across if you take your time and explore a bit :D

The story has been a little underwhelming and I find myself skim reading and skipping the dialogue, some interactive lore items will read out a loud which is great so I can keep spreading the chaos, but some of them don't which will likely be fixed eventually. Hopefully I can force myself to pay more attention to the story in the future.

I completely understand that the game will eventually be free to play - but the Micro-transaction store is pretty expensive, would be nice if the POE 1 store was integrated to PoE too at maybe a discounted rate at least while it's not F2P.

Regardless, super proud of GGG for giving us an excellent sequel, as stated at the start - very excited to see what is to come when it is fully released! Proud Kiwi here.

Yet again, Supergiant Games has delivered the goods with Hades 2.

Fantastic gameplay, engaging story, enchanting soundtrack and plenty of cameo's/nods to the first game.

Considering this is still in Early Access, I am very excited to see what the completed game is like.

Buy it, gift it, PLAY IT!

It's good when it's good.

Excited for the full release, loving the lore, combat style and all the dialogue. I've noticed autosaves only really happen if you're about to go to a cut scene which is fine, just have to remember to save before y'know.. trying to steal from the Druid Grove and having to wipe out most of the druids..

Punishment never looked so good.

First rogue-like I've been able to stick with, beautiful artwork, diverse range of NPC's - personally a Eurydice & Dusa fan, great soundtrack(Eurydice!!!) and an all round intriguing story that keeps me going back back back again for more.

It's pretty good
