Right now I'm having fun, I haven't noticed the monetization at all yet and am having a blast with my friends. I will say however this game is extremly SSD/NVMe dependent. I had it on my HDD and the loading screens were anywhere to 20-30 seconds later than my friends and 2 minutes at times when zoning between areas. After putting on my SSD it become much faster.

So far I'd say its free so play it and have fun, I haven't noticed any P2W stuff yet or at least in any way that it hurts my gameplay and am having a blast.

Most recent season absolutely ruined the game. It's more enjoyable to watch paint dry, it is insanely boring.

While it has elements of souls in this game with the combat I would say its not souls. It is a fantastic mech game in a genre where there is few good games left. FromSoftware took what they learned from working on souls from the years and put more into this game. I was truly immersed and highly suggest it for its combat and narrative. Definitely one of my favorite games.

Beat Saber is an absolute must buy, if you have a VR headset you have no excuse to not buy this game. The support for custom levels including a level editor has made the game even better as now you can explore new heights of difficulty while listening to your favorite song.
The game makes you feel like a Jedi to the point where you are so overconfident you will record yourself only to realize you look like a spastic. The gameplay and the ease of use allows for a quick session before doing anything else. You will leave the game drenched in sweat and I cannot express my love for this game. If you were to buy a VR headset for this game and for no other use I would accept that, this game is so good!
