I'm shocked there's no other reviews for this game! While I've only done one playthrough so far, it's got a nice, unique atmosphere and feel it to and seems to have a lot of replayability. The goal is to give mom a gift at the end of the day to increase her relationship meter with you and you have 5 minutes each day to find her something. Several NPCs appear to interact with, many items to find and assemble (some magazine scraps with things to make) and you can cause child chaos to the adults. The directions this game can go in surprised me and should be seen by more people

This game got me frustrated in all the right ways. Fairly short, great graphics. I would love to see more of this game, and especially would love to see a speedrun (how the hell does anyone beat this in less than 6 and a half minutes without a death?!). I am looking forward to whatever this dev is making next

Cute, short, relaxing. Biggest pros are the art and the assembly. Wasn't a fan of the voice work and the game was very short, so I'm quite happy I picked this up on sale. Wouldn't say it's challenging, so do not expect that. It was a nice hour and a half

Art reminds me of Bone (comic book) with the cute art style, yet has dark places. Fairly short game that can be completed in about 3 hours or so depending on how quickly you can solve the puzzles. Does have replayability for extra concept art which is worth it to me since I like it so much. I only had some frustration with a few scenes when trying to click to execute Mostly riding the chick around and grabbing the rain cloud gave me a headache and then getting in the clown head at the end.

The biggest forte is absolutely the animation. So fluid, so beautiful. I usually like to click past the loading screen when booting up a game the second time, but I was compelled even by how the logos animated and let it all run normally.

Puzzles weren't terribly frustrating but weren't overly easy. When you get stuck, there's a hint book floating around that you can investigate to help move things along quicker. I'd recommend against it if you can since it is so short, but if you want the story, there's no harm (minus not getting an achievement for not using hints).

Glad I played! Need more games like this

I like the Blackwell series and decided to purchase the Shivah because it seemed a bit more on the philosophical side.

Finished all the endings with achievements and I'm not sure what I just played. Very, very short and not enough to get to know the characters very, arguable Russell's character as well. The trailer pretty much depicts everything in the game except for guessing passwords of rabbis (which 2006 appropriate and fun, I'm not knocking that mechanic, but guessing is guessing and not feeling very satisfying). Email snooping is good fun, too! Liked that. Did not feel so bad for the guys offed due to the bad business deal because they really should've asked more questions before investing, but plot mechanics are plot mechanics.

My favorite questionable part was Russell being a boxer, which I completely forgot about from the trailer having seen it years ago, so it seemed completely out of the blue that he was boxing with both Joe and the other rabbi. Also threatening to kill a man does not seem very kosher to me, but who am I to say? I am not religious in any faith. Even with the best ending, it seemed very bizarre

Do I regret playing? Eh. It was an experience, but I'd rather have done something else. Gotta give Dave props for trying something different at the very least! Just didn't work for me

I completed this game on PSP ages ago and just started replaying it for the second time after getting a new copy. Gotta say, I'm still enjoying it despite knowing what goes down. Really looking forward to unlocking the end mode to waste away my time on chibi micromanaging endeavors that don't feel related to the story at all, in all earnest.

Is this game a detective game? Yes and no. There's clue gathering, some puzzle solving in regards to how the pieces fit together to form the transpired events, but it's not in league with other more thought provoking detective games like the Ace Attorney series. That said, if you like Ace Attorney like myself, this won't kill you.

The difficulty is pretty much all in your own endurance. There's no real penalty for guessing something wrong when it comes to class trials other than needing to start the trial over. Trials are so quick though that it's hardly worth calling it a penalty. The most gamey part is in the trials with the Trigger Time events. Wish they just passed on that as it just makes the experience frustrating.

Aside from murder and some pretty dark humor, there's some good ol' sex jokes (that are surprisingly funny), completing the circle of a good time and adding some good character to the script. Still, I could do for less panty shots, but what's to be expected from a Japanese game? Japan can't help itself.

Let's go with one more question: why wouldn't you want this game if you like the above? If you're expecting Nine Hours, Nine Person, Nine Doors or Virtue's Last Reward, you need to lower your expectations. This game is not complex. There are times it will make you think, but it won't keep you on your toes. You want to play this if you're more for finding passive interaction with a quota of gaming elements to pass the grade.

That's about it. Why the ♥♥♥♥ did I write this again? You know if you want this, person. Act on your urge.

The most brilliantly egotistic British narrator in all history of entertainment. And if you're a fan of Fawlty Towers, you'll be happy to see someone modeled after John Cleese's character, and brilliantly so. Brilliant!
