The vast majority of positive reviews come from the initial release; the game was playable and fun with a reasonable amount of jank as expected of an early access game.

Then in July of last year they re-branded, a foreshadow of things to come.
Two months later, they launched the 1.0 release with a large overhaul and additional content.

It had clearly not been tested prior to release and a large many things were broken: quests, inventories, fundamental game mechanics– a state worse than it had been introduced into early access with. It was unplayable.

The game was patched again recently, prompting me to revisit the world. I'll update my review depending on the state of things.

This game did not deserve the release it had.

It's fun to play with interesting mechanics far from the modern-day popular shooter.

Very re-playable isometric zombie survival simulator.

In all honesty, I just wanted a continuation of the first Remnant game with some cool new mechanics.

I am tired of Steam. These developers. I am tired of being caught in the tangle of their lies.
