As you've noticed, I have over 400 hours in this game alone. You do not NEED the DLC to play the game, it's an enhancement to an already nice looking and relaxing game. It adds cosmetic things for your farm and home, and some new crops.

It's a simple farm game where you can grow crops, flowers, trees, feed your animals and fish. It's nothing difficult, but it is pleasing graphically to the eye and the music is SUPER relaxing. I've had a ton fun just decorating, messing around and using the game as an overall relaxer, the only real time limit to the game is the events that are hosted; but none I've come across are too hard, unless you are one that isn't as active.

I have seen people liken the game to a similar Farmville vibe without energy. The only waiting is grow timers, which could be a deal breaker for some, but if you are familiar with the series then it's no big deal and comes with the territory. There are no destructive events, no monsters, everything in the game is super chill.
