I don't like reviewing games that much but Steam is forcing me to do so so I can feed my leveling and card addiction. So I'm writing this simply for the Steam Awards 2018 badge.

Buy the game I guess.

I bought this on name alone. Then I was greeted by an awesome song upon start up.

Buy it.

PROS:
-The game looks beautiful and runs very smoothly. Not even YouTube videos can do justice to how this game looks!
-The OST has variety and many great tracks that get stuck in your head.
-The bosses are fantastic to go up against.
-While not everyone will agree with me I believe the voice acting in Adventure Mode is great.
-If you don't care about the story you can play level to level in Classic Mode without ever having to touch Adventure Mode.


CONS:
-The story has some holes to fill but those will be fixed with DLC characters and their stories (for free).

If you like 4th and early 5th generation platformers then this is a game for you! Don't let this fantastic game fall by the wayside!

P.S. MANY people seem to have problems with the difficulty of this game. My first playthrough was on Hard and it felt just right to me, I'm not sure if those that are having trouble are playing on Hard or not. I know that when the game was first released people were having problems, but the developer, in response, put out an "Easy" difficulty for the game as well as heavily nerffing the bosses on all difficulties except for Hard (with plays just like it did on release day).

So if you are having trouble with the bosses and aren't playing on Hard I can't really say anything else other than "Get better at the game" or "Switch the difficulty to Casual".

EDIT: The DLC never came. :(
