California was a mistake

Great game purchased by Team17 who has decided to tank it. They released several buggy, incomplete updates. They changed significant gameplay elements at their whim that nobody asked for, and recently showcased inarguably one of the worst trailers in videogame history which was the tipping point for an already mentally exhausted playerbase. They have 0 passion or care towards what makes this game great, and nobody should be encouraged to buy the game in its current state. The future is dire.

Instead of taking any accountability, their newly appointed community manager said the negative reviews were unconstructive and that bad reviews kill games. Well, you earned it after months of awful decision making and ignoring all player feedback. I would rather see the game dead than to watch Team17 butcher something that was once a unique and worthwhile gaming experience.

Please spend your money elsewhere, the acquisition by Team17 has likely sealed the deal on this game.

I really like this game, it's got a little bit of everything so I can always find something to do with friends and it's improved significantly over the years which gives me hope that I'm only going to keep coming back to it and having fun.

A really great friend recommended me this game, I cannot be more thankful. Please consider trying if you're on the fence about this game, it's special.
