I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Black Myth: Wukong. After completing the main story and clearing all optional content, it took me around 50 hours to finish, and every moment was worth it.

While many people compare this game to Soulsborne titles or God of War, I believe Wukong stands in a league of its own. Though you can grind for resources, the game’s difficulty strikes a perfect balance. Some boss fights will push you to your limits, making you sweat, but it’s still more forgiving than Soulsborne games—there’s no resource loss upon death, which is a welcome relief. However, it is definitely harder than God of War.

The boss battles are plentiful, each one distinct and memorable, set against some truly captivating environments that are a visual treat. Black Myth: Wukong has easily become one of my favorite games of 2024 so far.

Far Cry 5 has a much improved formula than previous iterations. Less tower climbing and more about exploring and doing what the hell you want. The story is mediocre at best, but the gameplay is fun and the campaign is great to plaly co op (Although progress does NOT save for the guest). The game is well optimized, runs buttery smooth and looks great.

Coming from the original Crysis, I actually disliked the opening to this game a lot. However after sticking with the game, it grew on me and I have to say I probably prefer Crysis 2 to the original for afew things:

- Story: Much better than the original and is expanded on in Crysis 2. We learn more about the Ceph and have more encounters with them over the original game and many more Ceph variant enemies to fight.

- Fluid Controls: The controls are much more user friendly than the original. Yes you can remap but the way the suit handles far better in this game.

- Graphics: Improved and the game is still beautiful in 2017. The game has some stunning scenes and based in NYC,

- Gunplay: A larger variety of weapons and most feel unique and handle in their own way.

What I disliked:

- Linear: The game is very linear compared to the original. Much more on-rails shooter. I can only assume this was a design choice since Crysis 2 was 'consilized'.

- Some 30fps animations: I noticed some animations in the game seem to be locked to 30fps. Firing/Reloading with certain weapons such as the Shotgun has noticeable judder and can be distracting.

- Game mainly takes place in NYC and some levels/map design don't do a good job in making the feel of each level unique. Can get slightly repetitive at times.

I would recommend a playthrough of Crysis 2 for Crysis fans and whilst Crysis 2 does improve on some fronts for the franchise, I still think the original Crysis series remain more true to core gameplay and map design, so newcommers make sure to not miss out on the original!

Crysis Warhead expands on the original game Crysis with improved graphics, gameplay and quality of life mechanics that the first game missed. I would recommend a playthrough if you enjoyed the original however, just like the original itself the story does fall short of actually being interesting. With that in mind, I would still recommend the game providing you're not looking for a story rich game.

For a game released in 2007, Crysis still holds up well graphically. The game gives you enough freedom to traverse around the levels as you wish and choose how to tackle situations (stealth, action, etc..). The story is however pretty weak and I managed to complete the game in ~6 hours. With that said, there is enough deviation in the maps, especially late game which makes the game feel fresh and a chance for you to admire the beautiful scenery.
