I don't think I had even 10 minutes in this game before I said "yep, this is fire." This game combines great elements to create a unique and addicting gaming experience. The game-play loop is repetitive which should be expected for this type of game. The fun comes from growing your cult of followers, earning new buildings and acquiring powerful buffs to fight through more difficult regions and enemies.

I really enjoyed this game, it took me about 4 hours for first play through. My only complaint are the subtitles. The formatting and speed of the subtitles are bad, and there are tons of typos. If it weren't for the issues with the subtitles this game would be perfect.

Simply put, an incredible successor to an already amazing game. I refused before even playing this game to ever see it as better than God of War 2018 but after 40 hours it's undeniable. Combat is better, there are more characters, maps are way larger with more difficult puzzles. The music is perfect throughout and the graphics + cinematics are awesome on PC with ultrawide. I thought making a sequel would be a mistake but it's everything I could have wanted after completing God of War 2018 a week before Ragnarok released on PC.

My single gripe after 40 hours is the pacing of the main story. Certain parts of the story drag on and the tedious pathing of some realms can make it all annoying to deal with. I made it a point to complete side content so I could savor the game before completing the main story but at times it didn't even feel like I needed to, the story dragged itself long enough on its own. Not sure if that can be completely soon as a con or just a neutral.

Enjoyed the start, but the game needs a lot of polish and work before I would sink a bunch of time into it. 20 USD for the game once it's polished seems like a very fair price but in its current state you'd need to be able to overlook a lot of small things. I plan to try this game again in a few months assuming it receives updates and change my recommendation if I enjoy the game more

- Improve user experience, a couple of times I was left wondering how to do something for example how to close the restaurant before running out of energy
- More customization. The male hair styles have some big beard attached like the long hair or man bun but no option without a beard. Really weird choices
- The description of the game is "befriend locals" yet it feels like no one wants to talk to me. The people who were "characters" that I met exploring were not very personable. Everyone else gives a rude comment or some random question like "where's the beach?"
- Lots of typos and weirdness in the conversations, menus, etc which can be jarring when you're really trying to immerse yourself in this new game

10/10 we finally have next gen man. this is incredible. game runs and looks amazing.

for context my 2K gameplay since 2K15 has been MyCareer and offline game modes, I don't know how online or park gameplay is because I don't care for it (always has had terrible network latency and modded to hell on PC after release)

Averaging 110-144fps in a MyCareer game, fps dips in the city when lots of people online

extremely addicting

server issues have improved a lot in a short amount of time, I recommend this game. extremely fun with friends

this game is fun

impossible to play online with strict NAT type. pretty dumb considering it's not an issue for literally any other game on the internet. other than that it's pretty fun.

The game in its core is great. The mechanics are well polished, as well as the visuals and the gameplay in general. It feels like a great 2k that someone decided to add a bunch of trash to. VC glitches, cutscene glitches, endorsement glitches, GLITCHES GLITCHES GLITCHES. I have never played a game that's had so many bugs while still expecting its customers to drop $20 just for cosmetics.

I signed a major endorsement in the story that alllows me to create my own CUSTOM SHOE for Adidas yet for more than a month I have been unable to see or even wear it because of a KNOWN and REPORTED bug that is still not patched. Why the hell should I spend even MORE than the $60 I spent on this game if I can't even play the actual game??? ♥♥♥♥ trying to get customers to buy VC. Why should I spend money on microtransactions for in game currency when the ACTUAL VC I earn through PLAYING THE GAME randomly bugs out and doesn't even give me the correct number after a game? Technically 2k owes ME money from all the VC I have lost while grinding in the game like you're forced to do.
