Gave it a fare shot, fcking Ai cheats and pulls out of the ass masive 2k fleets out of the blue, he is invulnerable and from me controling 80% of the map to losing the game because he spawned fleets that had more fire power than he had all game long...

Disapointed in the poor substitute for dificulty.

Update: Yeah no the DLC and lack of communication from Bethesda didn't help this dumpster fire.

TLDR: 6/10 Flaved in a lot of places. It works but barrely. Buy at a discount not full price.

In order of what you will experience:

Visuals are decent if you don't look too close to the weapon models and how they work/animate certain things.
Worst offender are certain textures that seem stolen from skyrim caves.
Some visual effects outright don't appear depending on your hardware.

Story ... ermm ... to put it lightly, some quest lines are decent pirate faction and the fascist.. i mean UC the rest are either so bad it makes some narative decisions in darksouls 1 look like shakespeare or are broken because some mechanics don't work (ryujin because of stealth either is 100% ninja or crouching doesn't work) on a char that was built for it.
Keeping with the dead horse beating sesion, some narative arguments of the main quest line seem like copy paste nonsense from twitter/X snake oil salesman that don't make any sense even in the bounds of the narative lore of the world they present (example being what happened to earth and the actual need for it to have happend).

Mechanics ... some work like guns , ship combat, ship building (surprisingly decent) others are afther thought but functional like the powers, temples that ALL AND EVERY FCKING ONE OF THEM HAVE THE SAME FCKING PUZLE <---100+ planets and you couldn't have 2 dudes make 2 puzles? Even a survive X mins against waves would be far better than what we got.
Loading screen meme. Every 3-4 moves you do will have a loading screen. It is to put it simply infuriating after a while.
The base system invalidates all money.
Money limit on sellers is stupid because of infinite money from bases it's just hit the wait 3-10 days time to reset and sell again.
Exploration forgget it exists. After you jump to like 20-30 systems the "random" events will start to repeat. The random map events also start to repeat fairly quickly if you roam the land.
Mining, on the ground forget it exists after you got a base.
Mining in space is easly x5 times better than on the ground.
Gear progression is plain bad.
Crafting is usable... but supper limited.
Research is the worst i have seen in a long time.
Weapon balance is ChatGPT2.0 generated levels of bad, same caliber of ammo can make x5 damage if fired from a diferent type of gun. Not x1.2 or somthing that would make you think "ye well bigger barrel or [insert logical reason here]" i'm talking about a rifle firind the same caliber as a hand gun but dealing far less damage than the handgun being at the same rarity tier. Adding salt is the fact that you need 10+ types of ammo and you can't craft ammo (at the time of writing this )

This product is an minimum viable shipmet by the book. It mostly works, but apart from seeing potential there is not much there. Is it a bad game? No there are far worse out there, but it is a mediocre product that tbh duno if the DLCs will be able to salvage this one.

To buy or not to buy... full price(70€) at this point i can't recomend, at a 60-80% discount it can be worth it.

Early Access Review
As far as I can see, bugs from 2018 are still present:
A few campaign quests in and the quest "kill bud" and "kill greg" overlap meaning if you do one without having started the other you bricked the campaign. If you don't kill them in a specific way the campaign bricks. If you destroy their ship maybe your campaign bricks.
Just to name the one that made me ask for a refund (again ...)
The devs seem not to be able to polish it or don't care about it. At this point , this game is not worth 30€

3 zones and the one with the most polish is the "John seed" one. If you start there, you will enjoy the game for the time it takes to finish that zone, after that ... the drug fields( faith ) and the random "wolf" ( jacob ) are tedious( especially in the faith zone reputation generation is slow ) , repetitive and imho boring af. <--- Also the story telling is lacking.

There are still some bugs in the game that will force you to reload or straight up leave the zone and come back to one quest so the npc will appear(yes they can glitch out and disappear) or work properly(quest trigger for the next sequence in the chain). But for the most part works fine. Each zone is made by a different teams and it's obvious, especially when the door opening animation is repeated x 15 times in one bunker and 0 times in the others.

6/10 game, nothing ground breaking and no major game defect. Recommended at discount not at full price.

If you have the tec to play it now, go for it, if not wait another 6 months for them to pach things up and optimize. If mod support is good this game will become the next Skyrim as far as mod possibilities go.

In its current state I'd say it's a standard AAA 6-7/10 game, like all major releases in the past years bugs up the wall and under the carpet until version 1.1 or even 1.2 comes around.

The cinematics and interactions you have with the npcs, feels really immersive and is truly how future rpgs should be like.

The main story can be finished in like 30-40 ish hours, but honestly i'd say the side quests are worth doing more than it.

Romance depending on your sexual preference and body/voice type is limited to only 1 "choice". The body type determines what 2 options you have. [insert futanari are discriminated jk here ]

Economy is broken, some things cost an arm and a leg that aren't actualy worth it and others that are op af are cheaper than a bag of chips.

Crafting needs an overhaul coz suffers even more than the economy.

Police... for the love of god don't get on the bad side of the law if you don't want to live the experience the Matrix films tried to imply when fighting the agents. Police will spawn 5 meters away from you the moment you dare hurt a civilian and if you got the stones to hurt an agent? well then they send in the T100 and the augmented troops that will 1 shot you unless you used the gliched crafting system to have 6000+ armor and last 5 shots.

Stats aren't realy explained and tbh also are in need to some looking at.

It would seem like there are more negatives than positives here, but tbh these things will most likely be fixed in a few months and are minor inconveniences for the overall experience.
If you can't wait, buy it now and have a reason to replay it after they patch it up or wait until 1.2 is launched.

Great sound track and fresh take on this type of games.
Gets a bit repetitive in the last portions of the game do.
8/10
