I enjoy these types of games. If you enjoy a bit of randomization and variety in your adventures, hunting secrets, gradual power creep, and third-person shooting, then perhaps you will too. I think they did a great job with most of the voice work, and while the writing seems a little underdeveloped in some cases, there's enough interesting lore and engaging gameplay to keep me satisfied. I think it's an improvement on the first game, I just wish they would add an accessibility option to dim or darken the flashbang that occurs when resting at a checkpoint. While I would enjoy a Remnant 3, I don't know where they could go with the story. Perhaps they could explore the nature of The Labyrinth and it's relationship to the other worlds.

I enjoy the game and despite the launch issues with matchmaking I think that there's a solid foundation to expand upon here. The moment-to-moment gameplay is satisfying. I do wish there was more content at launch; it feels like they focused a lot on the game feel initially and that's usually good but they've missed a lot of little quality of life features and once you really get going engaging with the progression it does slow down a bit and become somewhat repetitive. I can tell that each weapon was given plenty of attention though; they're fun to use and the variety is nice. I do wish they had kept the peer-to-peer infrastructure of Payday 2 and didn't take this always-online approach with requiring a server. I assume that Deep Silver had something to do with that, though, and they have been discussing a potential offline mode which I hope they add so the game becomes forever playable rather than dying someday.

It's a good game, especially if you have an imagination and roleplay your characters.

I remember playing this game as a teen growing up.
I remember getting so mad at being unable to win certain missions.
I thought that perhaps now, years later, I might fare better...
Well, I thought right!

This game is a joy to re-experience and I'd recommend it to both veterans and first timers, especially first timers. The blend of soft rock/metal and medieval fantasy battle inspires the imagination to conjure up feelings of grit and badassery. If you're anything like me and sucked at this game as a kid, it's particularly satisfying to learn the game and understand it's mechanics and then apply those mechanics successfully.

Decent story, solid gameplay, good price for value, 8/10 - hoping for a mod someday that'll extend the render distance.

It was really difficult choosing a nomination for 2019's Steam Awards, especially for the "Outstanding Story-Rich Game" category, but I think EDF5 is the perfect fit. Never before have I experienced the thrill of such phenomenal B-movie writing and it's certainly gets points for style and presentation.

Quite possibly one of the best sandbox rpgs ever released. Nearly limitless roleplaying potential in the form of online persistent worlds. My unsolicited advice, however, would be to avoid the popular servers that start with the letter A. Those seem to have a trend of occasionally and arbitrarily invalidating hours of player story building, investment, and roleplay, as a byproduct of increasingly corrupt administrations.

It's pretty good, especially with the Prophesy of Pendor mod.
