"Bethesda" took their 2006 gem and gave it a serious upgrade.
making it feel fresh but still like the game I sank hours into back in the day.
The hills are lush, the towns feel alive, and the characters don’t look like they were slapped together
with Play-Doh.

You weirdos throwing a fit over “Bodytype 1 and 2” replacing male/female? It’s a freaking menu label.
You’re out here screaming like you caught Molag Bal raiding your fridge over a change that doesn’t touch your character’s stats or look. You’re embarrassing yourselves
UE5 is garbage?
Buddy, your game’s stuttering because you’re running it on a potato rig from the Oblivion launch era.
Upgrade your sad, wheezing hardware and stop crying on forums like you’re auditioning for a soap opera.

STALKER 2
Rating: (7/10)
"updated verdict: its fun WITH mods so thumbs up. but without mods its NOT recommended"

*Pros:
✔️ Captures the atmospheric essence of the *STALKER* series.
✔️ Monster designs are excellent and fit the world perfectly.
✔️ Mod support has immense potential for community-driven improvements.

Cons:
❌ Missing the promised "A-Life 2.0"; enemy encounters fail to spawn beyond ~30m.
❌ Humanoid AI is broken—enemies can throw infinite grenades and spot you through walls (without mods).
❌ Plagued by numerous bugs disrupting immersion and gameplay.
❌ Outdated movement mechanics make traversal a chore.
❌ Combat feels clunky and unsatisfying.
❌ Monsters cannot be looted, making fights an unnecessary ammo drain.
❌ No RTX support—UE5's Lumen Lighting doesn’t live up to expectations.
❌ Human AI rivals Bethesda’s worst.
❌ Facial animations break immersion due to their poor quality.
❌ Simplistic dialogue system akin to Fallout 4.
❌ Weapon jamming is excessive and frustrating.

---

Update after 14+ hours with mods:
Mods transform *STALKER 2* into a much more enjoyable experience:
- **AI Fixes**: Stealth is now possible, and gunfights feel engaging and fun.
- **Mutant Balancing**: Mutants no longer feel like bullet sponges but remain dangerous, striking a good balance.
- **Economic Tweaks**: I can sell broken weapons without needing to repair them at a net loss.
- **Combat Improvements**: Mods address scaling issues, like Bloodsuckers requiring over four magazines (vs. 1-2 in older games) and appearing in unfairly large packs.

---

Verdict:
Without mods, *STALKER 2* is a frustrating and poorly scaled experience. Bugs, AI issues, and clunky mechanics detract from its potential. However, mods greatly enhance gameplay, making it far more enjoyable. If you’re willing to rely on mods, it’s worth trying; otherwise, wait for patches.
