Feels like a 2012 iphone 4 game and still runs like absolute rubbish.

First off, the only positive; the ambient sound and location design in this game were very nicely done, in another game this wouldn't have been noticed but in The Suicide Of Rachel Foster, it was probably the only thing they got right.

The unskippable dialogue was just ludicrous, I would be standing in front of the next task for minutes at points waiting for the two main characters to wrap up whatever uninspired dialogue they were having at the time.

Speaking of the characters, let's talk about the driving plot of the game. Uncovering the mystery of Rachel Foster's supposed suicide, the "woman" that your father had an "affair" with many years prior to the events of the game. Except, she wasn't a woman, she was a 16 year old girl, and this wasn't an affair, it was an act of grooming and assault, she was 9 weeks pregnant at time of death!

So surely the father, Leonard, takes on some sort of antagonistic role in the story... right?
NO! He is looked upon favourably by both main characters and Nicole is even harshly criticised for not accepting the "love" between Leonard and his 16 year old victim as a child.

I don't know if the writers of this game are enabling such behaviour or if they're such cowards that they aren't able to so much as hint that the aforementioned plot point is morally wrong. Either way, they really came up short here, I hope they've had time since the release of this game to reflect and see all they did wrong here.

All in all, this is one of the less innovative walking sims I've played, you get three items in your inventory, each to be used once, it can get a bit repetitive, the story was gross, and the ending was complete doo doo.

Oh, I got to tell you, it was perfect... Perfect. Everything, down to the last minute details.

It took me 12 losses in a row to realise there was probably a skill issue, i'm off to do some soul searching.

Started religiously playing this game on miniclip over 250 years ago, I'm glad to report that since then the game has progress more than I'd have ever imagined and liberated countless nations along the way. Absolutely chaotic at times but the generous blood, the flexing sweat, and the raging tears are all worth it in the undying pursuit of FREEDOM.

Say goodbye to your 100% completion rate.

This game has taught me not to rely on the kindness (or competency) of strangers. 10/10
