Went into this game looking to enjoy it as I really love roguelikes. I played until I finally got a complete run with a victory. This game is very mid at best. The one thing I disliked the most was wanting to take a certain path, and the randomness of where the ball falls forces me to go another way. It's so unfun. Especially when I "accidentally" take a path that falls into fire and I lose HP because of it. It doesn't feel fun. Another thing I really dislike is pun names on stats and balls. As a new player, it makes it really difficult to learn what each item does and the effects it has.

The only fun thing I got out of this game was maybe the bosses. Some of them actually made me think about the next move I would make.

All in all, had I not gone over the 2 hour steam limit, I would have requested a refund.

I have never been so bored in my life to play an expansion for a game I enjoyed. At first it was kind of fun playing much harder enemies, but it’s like that for nearly 20 hours of gameplay. Theres very little story added onto the expansion. I played and finished the original game on hard difficulty, I started this expansion on hard difficulty and got so bored I swapped it to peaceful because I wanted to get this over with. That led me to just run past all the enemies and fight mandatory bosses underleveled.

Do yourself a favor and just watch gameplay footage if you want to see “The Answer”.

Went into this game expecting to hate it as I'm not extremely big on poker, but wow the replayability and unlocks in this game makes it feel like there's so many ways to play and beat the game. Absolutely recommend this game to anyone that enjoys the roguelike genre.

I seriously don't know why the reviews for this game are overwhelmingly positive. For the price, sure, maybe. But even I feel like this was a waste of my time.

I went into this game expecting a huge collect-a-thon just like DK 64 or Banjo Kazooie. If that's what you're expecting to, don't get this game. Or watch gameplay footage first. I completed the entire game in about 40 minutes. And I collected everything there was. I understand it's going for the N64 era style, and it looks fairly decent in that aspect, but this game feels unfinished. If there's any redeeming quality, the character movement and controls were really well done. That's all I can give it.

So glad I finally get to review this game.

Seeing a game made by Phops and Idoz was surreal as I had met Phops through another community called Realm of the Mad God. Phop's did a tremendous job on the sprite work and you could tell there was passion put into the artwork everywhere.

First thing's first, the gameplay. If you've ever touched a bullet hell game like Enter the Gungeon or Realm of the Mad God, you will see many similarities in this game. This game is a love letter to the bullet hell genre with a more focused story and play fantastic. If you enjoyed the previously mentioned games, you will love this one.

The world map is pretty big, and exploring the map will reward the player in loot chests, perks, etc. I will say though, as someone like me who enjoys exploring and finding secrets, I was a little disappointed that there weren't hidden passages behind foliage/obstacles. It would have made the exploration for each tile more enjoyable. Even when I had approached the desert area, I was expecting to be able to interact with the shining statues for a hidden loot chest or something.

The enemies are fantastic to fight against. They feel like the perfect challenge and never felt too difficult or too easy. Same with the bosses, they were even more fun figuring out their gimmick on how to damage them. When I fought the glowing snake inside the orb in the forest, I struggled to beat him until I had a weapon that made killing the flowers way quicker. It was seriously probably the most fun challenge I had.

The badge and weapon system made for an extremely interactive set of decisions on what badge worked best for the player's playstyle. Prefer magic? Magic build! Prefer to be more up close and personal? Tank build! I would have loved to see more badges personally, as I love a great badge system, but overall the badges here work really well.

Speaking of badges, scattered around the map are little bullet hell challenges for the player to complete. Complete three rounds of dodging while collecting the gem with each round getting gradually harder and you're rewarded with a cool to new badge to play around with! Some of these challenges are actually really difficult and require a lot of trial and error. It's a great challenge for someone who loves this genre. However, if you just aren't able to do it, no problem! It's not required to beat the game which is cool!

Music wise, I would say the game does pretty well at matching each area to it's theme. I will say when I reached the bog region, I swear it gave me DK 64 vibes and I loved it. It definitely brought me back to a better time hearing tunes that remind me of those games. I won't say the music has those "stuck-in-your-head" catchy tunes like Undertale, but don't discredit the composer, they did great overall.

This game has a system where you're penalized in losing half your money when you die. This system is great in the first half of the game because money is everything. Used for buying equipment, badges, etc, it's definitely needed. However, late game, losing money doesn't feel as much of a loss. Luckily, if money is a problem for you, there's plenty of banks to interact with so you don't lose all of your money.

The equipment gets an A+++. If you've ever played Enter the Gungeon, you'll know that the different types of guns go crazy. There's so many different guns to play with and it feels like every run is new. This game has the same take. With new weapon types, shot patterns, debuffs, etc. The list goes on and on, it's been amazing seeing what new item was going to appear and how they would work. I especially liked the nod to the Realm of the Mad God Demon Blade item they added in the game. If you know, you know.

Lastly, I want to touch on the boss and lore. To be completely honest, the lore seemed interesting at first, but the gameplay was so much more fun that I just ended up skipping past most of the dialogue. I hate to say it, but maybe some forced cutscenes would improve this? As for the boss, he's pretty tough if you don't have the top-of-the-line gear at your disposal. The fight was pretty good, but felt a little lackluster for the finale.

With all that being said, Archvale 2 man, I need it. This was a fun game to just drop 12 hours into. If you're on the fence about purchasing this game, DO IT! The creators put a lot of effort and care into this game and it shows!

I've seen a lot of mixed reviews on the game, but I actually quite enjoy it! One of the easier fighting games out of the other shonen games. Would recommend!

I buy all Rocket League DLC, and their pretty cheap too. This one is pretty disappointing, you get a care that is barely customizeable. You cant put a decal on it, cant change the wheels, and no topper. And you also get 2 banners that look kind of cool. All in all, I think this DLC pack kind of sucks.

This is one of my favorite games to play. The game still has a lot of bugs, and a lot of people that ruin the game such as multiboxers, dupers, and hackers, but the new company that owns it are really trying their best to fix it up!

This game ruined my life... I spent so much time playing rocket league instead of studying and now my life is ruined. Now I have to try and become a professional rocket league player.
