Life is Strange is a game packed with insanely good humor that takes a dark turn when you least expect it. Episodic graphic adventure games are usually not my cup of tea when it comes to gaming, but after a friend convinced me to play it I hopped on with very low expectations. Ow boy, how wrong I was to misjudge this game at the start... The story goes from your daily high school struggles to a warped time travel multi-dimensional masterpiece!

Almost all characters in the game have their own problems and story to tell, which makes you want to come back after playing the full story once. Your choices in this game impact the final outcome heavily and characters won't forget if you did something mean to them in the past! You start to care for almost everyone that you cross paths with in this well executed "crime" story by Squire Enix.

Did I cry? YES (obviously). I burned through 10 tissue boxes during the final two epsiodes alone! This game teaches you that making choices in life is hard, and once you made the wrong one you can not "just go back in time" to fix it all. Sometimes sacrifces have to be made. For the worst or the better.

The game also has it's flaws. The puzzles the game present sometimes break story momentum (searching for 5 bottles on a junkjard) at places where it should be exhilarating. I felt this the most when you have to bring a picture into focus by finding it's "sweet spot" to travel back in time to that event on said picture. Doing this once was fun, but doing this for almost every picture onwards made it very tedious and fustrating.

I would highly recommend this game to anyone who likes to play a timetraveling Sherlock Holmes. Can I now finally "Go Ape" with Warren, please?!
