One of the most Northern British pieces of media ever created. It's funny, it's silly, it's earnest. As a northerner, I felt a sense of familiarity with everything in the game, it made me laugh and feel right at home.

Enjoyable if you aren't from the north of england, but a whole new level of good if you are. Great work by the devs.

I clocked in a shift at the number factory and the number went up a lot.

It starts slow, then 15 minutes later your dolphin is dropping beach balls while a pyramid fires laser beams and a kazoo blows every 1.5 seconds as you rack up quadrillions of points.

I bought this game and it didn't run, so I refunded it.

I then realised my drivers were out of date and updated them and re-bought this game. Sorry about that, supergiant.

Anyway, This game slaps. Not only does it have a compelling narrative to drive you forward in the early game, it constantly encourages you to keep going and gives you new things to uncover both gameplay and story-wise. Once you've finished the main crux of the story and accomplished the protagonist's goal, it gives you a new mission and a lot of threads still left to uncover. You're able to dynamically adjust your difficulty based on a series of modifiers rather than flat bullet sponging (However, you can also just pump enemy health up, if that is what you like and want. It's an option!). Overall, it's one of the greatest videogame experiences I've had in a long, long time. And I recommend it to anyone who enjoys roguelikes, as it's the best of the genre. I also recommend this game to anyone who doesn't like Roguelikes, because it's got a low barrier of entry and could hook you anyway.
