This is by the NA Nexon branch, not korea's. Since its NA this game follows a more western f2p model, similar to LoL and Smite mobas. Unlocking characters via purchasing with ingame currency, character rotations, and load out cards. Load out cards are purchasable in the shop with cash or in-game currency. And the highest tier load out cards are only cosmetics, the best perks you can get are obtainable in the store, so you don't have to rely on luck to get a good card with good perks. Absolutely no cash required for the best gears, all obtainable via playing. And no its not much of a grind. Every (I'd like to say 4 hours) you can get missions to get more in game currency. All Nexon needs to do is adopt VAC as its anti cheat, stop it with the Nexon security system.
