Early Access Review
This game is very early access but the bones are good. It FEELS like Runescape, an evolution of the old 2007 and the newer RS3. There isn't that much content, there is a certain amount of jank, and there's a lot of room for improvement but for an early access title I think it's on the right track.

I would not suggest buying it now unless you're bored and have a few friends to jump into it together, but definitely keep your eye on it.

At this time I'm HR52 and I believe I've hunted every monster and seen pretty much all the content.
I do recommend it but with some caveats.

- This game requires a higher end machine, do not even try to run it on recommended hardware. My 3080ti still has noticeable hitching sometimes and I cannot imagine a lower tier or older system would be a great experience.

- Do not expect to play through the story with your friends. Multiplayer in story missions is clunky, buggy, and a pile of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ just like MHWorlds was and my ONE THING I would have asked for from the devs in this new generation is to fix the way they do multiplayer. There is no excuse in 2025 to have this garbage of a system when they had multiplayer perfected in MH4U over a decade ago. Optional quests and Investigations its fine just for regular hunts but any main quests is an exercise in frustration.

- Where's my house capcom. How am I going to decorate and show off my endemic life pets.

- I've been playing just under 30 hours and I'm very close to having done everything available in terms of main content and missions. I'm skilled at the game and experienced, so I have definitely gone quicker than the average player but keep that in mind. I haven't gone hunting for any gold crown size monsters, captured all endemic life, or farmed up every armor set and decorations - but that's a matter of doing the same content over and over again until the right stuff drops.

Now for the good ♥♥♥♥:

+ Monster Variety is magnificent. I cannot express how odd and unique some of the monsters are in both design and behavior. While there isn't a high NUMBER of monsters total in this game the different types really makes it feel like a massive spread of unique encounters instead of in MHWorlds where there were many many more variants and subspecies padding the count.

+ Combat is fluid and dynamic. When you know what you're doing you can feel like a superhero. In multiplayer landing a quick counter can save a teammate or open up a chance for the entire squad to absolutely bully a tough monster for a few precious moments.

+ I'm half and half on the story but Monster Hunter games haven't really had a good track record of story in the first place so it's a step in the right direction. Continuing plots and themes from both the original series art books, MHWorlds and MH4U come together for an interesting set of twists and turns in the narrative.

+ The environments are beautiful and diverse. There are 5 and a half "maps" - Desert, Flooded Forest, an Oil Forge, Snowy Ruins, and one I won't spoil. Each of these has 3 seasons that along with a day/night cycle completely change the look and feel of the zone along with what monsters will be around and how they'll behave.

+ Post launch support. Capcom is good with adding event quests every week, some unique and with interesting twists. There will also be seasonal updates with new monsters and content. I expect this will run for about a year and a half until the G rank expansion if their usual pattern holds.

I played Kingdom Come Deliverance 1 about 4 years ago and fell in love with it. When Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 was announced I was immediately driven into a state of rabid hype, and I have to say it was deserved. This game smooths out some of the rough patches of the first game, but sacrifices a bit of the realism for drama and story. All in all I think this game is well worth the time and the price and continues Henry's story in a fantastic fashion.

There is plenty of historical and educational content for those who are interested, the combat is fun, the characters are charming and unique, and the story itself is riveting.

10/10

This game is beautiful, well built mechanically, and has a compelling story. I'm playing on Classic difficulty and im finding myself getting my ass handed to me more often than not if I'm not fully prepared for a fight.

It's well worth the price, and at around 16 hours I still have quite a bit of the game to go. A true hidden gem these days.

I tried to give this a chance. I really did. This is not at a state where they should be charging money, this should just be an open beta or a demo.

It's not even random bugs or performance issues. It's the lack of base content and fundamental broken systems.

- The orbit planner and calculator is wrong. All the time. And it breaks half the time you fuss with it. If you try to map out any maneuver you have about a 30% chance of it getting you where you want it to go. That's if the graphics don't just disappear on you half way and leave you ♥♥♥♥ out of luck until you quit and reload the game. And on that note:

- Quitting and reloading or going back to the space center causes the parts of your ships to shift and break. Parts can move a few centimeters one way or another, fuel lines and reinforcements can disappear causing your ship to not stage properly or just explode. Parts get caught on other parts, or change their orientation slightly so your ship goes into a perpetual spin when you fire the engines. Nothing is "solid" it's all extremely wiggly and flexible like you're flying a ship made of boiled pasta and play-doh. It's way, way worse than KSP1 is currently.

- The UI. God I hate the new UI. The neon, 80's retro future UI hurts my eyes and doesn't work 70% of the time. Want to rearrange staging? Good luck, it's extremely difficult to separate parts and move around what stage you want them to activate. Want to enable fuel cross feed between two fuel tanks? You can't sometimes. The menu just doesn't show up. Want to create a maneuver node and plot a burn out of Kerbins orbit? Like fighting with a toddler eating crayons to get it to show you when the orbits interact, and even then remember - the orbit calculator lies - so you can have all the graphics showing an intercept and when you time warp to the node the planet's way out of reach and you're stuck. The KSP1 UI wasn't perfect, but it was better by far - even taking note of my nostalgia goggles and bias it just looks uglier now. Hoping mods can improve this but it would be nice to have different UI skin options.

- UI 2.0, the VAB I hate less. But it still feels... very very simplified. In a "Lego's are too hard here are some Megablox" kind of way. I don't really have any constructive criticism here, I don't know what would make it better for me but I figured I'd throw it in here.

- This is a missing feature on the roadmap so less of an issue but: No atmospheric heat system? No electrical systems? I feel like those should have been included before any kind of public release.

+ The game looks amazing. The planets are beautiful, the ships look amazing with the sun shining off them.

+ Minor plus - I really like the whole countdown procedure thing that plays when you launch a rocket. Whoever had that idea it's a winner.

Bottom line: This game is abandonware and the developer was shut down. A massive waste of work and talent I would not suggest you buy. Just get KSP1 and play with mods. Most of the advertised features of this game will never be implemented.

I really enjoyed the first demo, but if this "Prologue" is a sign of what they're leaning into I think it's turned from a "I'm interested" to "I'll Pass"

If you don't do exactly what the game wants at exactly the time they want you to do it you die.

The Meters drain way too quickly, full food/water/sleep bars give you maybe 15 minutes of walking around before they're entirely empty. The sanity mechanic while interesting is incredibly annoying - the negative debuffs need to be used more sparingly than it is. I would understand and appreciate if *sometimes* there was a fake wall, or tree branch, or wolf to spook me - but having it happen every 2 minutes is aggravating.

Nobody needs to sleep every 10 minutes. Nobody needs to eat every 10 minutes. Nobody needs a gallon of water every 10 minutes. I understand changes need to be made to fit a video game but come on, I should need to find food every hour at most.

In the opposite way body temperature can almost be ignored. It drops slow - fills quickly by standing by a fire or a hot spring - and I've never had it even get low except when I've passed out in the snow for not sleeping in my bed for 10 minutes because apparently I'm suffering from Narcolepsy.

A quick warning - Treat this game as early acccess. Do not go into it expecting a fully polished release game.
I'm having fun and I expect the game will get better quickly. I'll kick about and give it a few months. It's fun solo, if a bit grindy. But this game really gets the "fear" aspect of not knowing whats around the corner and having to really plan out how you're going to survive long enough to complete the mission.

There have been weekly updates for the entire past year, and it's shaping up into a really fun multiplayer survival experience. I'm looking forward to the DLC coming next year.

This is a major step backwards in game play quality from the last game - which wasn't perfect by any means.

They've cut down the campaign to a 2 hour.... internment camp simulator?

Bugs aplenty, animals won't recognize changes to their environment so they go crazy and attack all fences forever and never stop. They will occasionally get stuck on terrain and starve to death.

The new "Scientist Management" portion of the game is just... awful. Ah yes, lets make them only able to do 3 tasks then have to rest for 5 minutes.

You have to manually scan dinosaurs, manually diagnose their illness, refuel generators and trucks and add food for your employees. What used to be an "Upkeep Cost" is now some kind of menial task.

Early Access Review
This game was a hesitant buy for me on the 2nd day of release.
Procedural Generation is usually a sign of a lower quality product, The low poly and graphics is a sign of a lower quality product, a lot of the screen shots and the trailer honestly don't do it justice.

However: This game is awesome. If you're at all interested in the survival or adventure genre's it's definitely worth picking up. The low poly graphics with high quality lighting just WORKS. The storms, the snow, the environments are all beautiful.

The combat is simple, but rewarding. It can still be improved, but its not a detriment to the game.
The lore is compelling, and the world itself has a great feel to it.

This game is a must with multiplayer, get 1-4 friends for the best balance.

Been a big fan of Warframe since the early days, and I'm proud to be a founder.
The developers have created a rich world and a great casual or hard core game depending on which playstyle you prefer.
