This game is absolutely gorgeous. It's my favorite Singleplayer series continued with Metro: Last Light and the next Metro: Exodus which is coming out next year.
On the technic side, the game is very well made. It runs even on the older configurations.
On the story side, it's one of my favorites. Played both games 2033 and Last Light twice and wanted to play more of these. The action is played in metros, while sometimes you need to go to the surface. Some parts of the game will be horror/scary which makes the game even better.
I don't think anyone would regret playing this game, because it's one of kind and the story makes you play more and more. My average play time in this game is 8 hours but if you want to search and investigate in every metro station all of the things it can go up to 10-12 hours.
