Early Access Review
Before I say anything or describe my thoughts, I fully acknowledge that this is very, *very* early access.

Only a small percentage of the final product is accessible to the public, so you'll only have a handful of content to play with, but I personally feel like it's enough to let the audience know KUNOS means business, if the trailer wasn't enough to get you hyped up. The physics of the game is a little hard to get use to, in my opinion. This is coming from someone that has played GT7 for a majority of the time in terms of sim/simcade racing, but that might not mean much because there are countless other people that have played almost all other of that genre (AC, ACC, iRacing, etc.). It's a good start for a likely big titan in the sim/simcade gaming industry, and hopefully a wake-up call and a massive bar raiser to heighten the standards of what a "good" game means.

With what was previously mentioned out of the way, I only have a few complaints. To start, at least in my experience, the UI lags a lot, which is funny because I forgot to mention that the game otherwise runs very well (Med-High settings, 1080p, smooth 60 FPS from just eyesight). It's not a huge deal, but 100% something to look at.

Another thing to mention is engine sounds. I don't know, I just find it weird. To give you a good example, play any of the Porsche race cars in third-person camera mode. When the motor reaches at a high speed, it sounds like it's going far away, like if you're apart of the audience and the car is leaving away from you. It doesn't naturally have BAD engine sounds, per se, but it doesn't sound natural. All around, it's somewhat consistent throughout the gameplay. It kind of sounds like Garry's mod car addons, so take that as you will.

Driver AI is very interesting. All I have to say about it is that sometimes the drivers slam into the wall for no apparent reason, especially on the starting grid. They also love to bully you
off the track, which is really annoying. They drive fine when they work, though.

No music, so gameplay can get a little boring at times, but that can be fixed with your personal playlist of music in the background.

The online only feature is a possibility. Please don't lock more than half of the content away from the consumer just because they don't have internet access. That's a stupid feature for any game, unless it's obviously only online gameplay like PVP or something. Gran Turismo 7 has that, and it's really stupid. I payed for a copy of the game (now it's a license fml), so I want to use it whenever I feel like using it, respectfully speaking.

PLEASE DON'T DO ONLINE ONLY

My review isn't perfect, but I hope I conveyed my message and thoughts clearly. Please support this game to what it can be. The road map for future updates only gets me excited for whats to come. Thank you for your time, and go play for yourself and decide for yourself if you think ACE has the potential to be up there with the giants.

Didn't know I payed $70 for Gmod, with the game literally spawning in cops in front of you. You get away from the cops fair and square with the money that is already hard enough to earn, and the absolutely atrocious traffic system (that's designed to f you over, btw) gets in the way AT THE RIGHT TIMES when you're already about to escape, leading you to another cop chase. It kills the momentum and flow of the game. It doesn't even try to hide it. The AI just dumps cops all over you. Most of the time it's just trying to avoid cops spawning around the player that escaped, and it just so happens when you're far from cops, there's one in front of you.

Characters are also easy to forget. The older NFS games left more of an impact. You're basically getting a subpar NFS for $70. Heat was a big step above Unbound. I find myself playing the Blackbox NFS games again.

I do not recommend. If you pick it up for less than $70, maybe. Heat did it way better as a modern NFS.

Wait, if the present cubes aren't allowed to go to the future, why can the present me be able to?

This is a must have game for anyone who wants to get OP real quick. The gameplay is fantastic and game runs smooth (when there's not like 99999999 enemies on your screen). Game deserves 100% of the money.

Amazing Kojima game where you get to connect with the characters and enjoy the view, while being apart of a heavily story driven game.

My only gripe is that it went on sale the day after I bought it. My luck in a nutshell.

I just want to point out the possible recommended hardware to use for this game. So far, I still haven't been in any laggy places. My settings are at ultra on everything. V-Sync is on, so I get a constant 60 FPS. I have a 1660 Super, and a Ryzen 5 2600, along with 16GB of memory @3 Ghz (3000 Mhz). I did notice very little lag drops, but it wasn't a problem at all. Gameplay wise, I'll soon find out, but I do have high hope for this game.

I really like the Metro games. I've played 2033, and drew a connection to the characters. This one, however, has problems. Maybe not story wise (I'm not a game story critique), but stability wise. To give you reference, I have a Ryzen 2600, along with 16 GB of memory, and a GTX 1660 Super, so I shouldn't be having problems. I do. I find the game to crash at SPOILER: Where you're in the desert, and you have to find water and fuel for the train. At the end, when you bring the water truck back, and you have to fight the guys in the sandstorm . I still recommend this game, but you might want to have a beefy PC, hence this review.

I knew that this game would be an amazing game even before release. I know players and all game enthusiasts alike aren't suppose to prejudge a game, but I had a very solid faith in this one, and so far, no disappointments. However, I do note that if you want to experience this game at it's fullest, you'll want to have a Valve Index, as this game was primarily for it. I'm not saying that the other VR headsets are bad or anything to that matter. Yes, this game is one of the best VR games I have played thus far, even after 2 hours after release.
