Is this game as bad as people are claiming? No.
Yes, there are a few bugs but nothing that has ruined the experience.

Having played all the Saints games this one definitely feels like it is missing something. I'm not quite sure what yet but I think it feels dialled down compared to SR3/4.

If you liked the Saints Row games, you'll like this one.
Play it, try it, form your own opinion. Just make sure you get it on sale!

The game itself was fun and I enjoyed playing through the in-game task list. However, I cannot recommend you buy this game.

Most likely you will be greeted with a fatal error upon starting the game around the 10/11 hour mark. In the first 11 hours, I managed to complete every quest in-game and set myself up to gain all the "gather X amount" achievements. This is when I turned my computer off for the night and the next morning I received the error.
Looking through the discussion thread there has been little or no support since May 2021 for this issue. There is a workaround where you can use the beta version, however, a lot of the features are removed such as buying more farmers and the fishing hut being gone.

Would I recommend this game if it wasn't abandoned? Yes.
Should you buy it? No.

You can complete this game fully in about 10 hours, which, for it's current features is more than enough. I really enjoyed my time in this game. It will require you to be patient at some points but you will reap the rewards of it. It's not difficult and could do with a challenge mode. I would also like bit more variety on wall and floor choices. Will look forward to what comes of the 2022 road map.

A tad humorous, incredibly short (about an hour).

I prefer the first game to this one. I think the reason is that it takes on the linear missions, which some people do prefer. Still, a solid game.

I'd say it's worth £7. Great fun.

Bought this game because I had it on console and never had the motivation to 100% it. I've now done that, life = complete.

Basically, read every other review because everything about this game has been said. You won't be disappointed.
