The atmosphere is good, but it took away the core gameplay of the first game that made the game fun.

Crashes when going to sleep. Game breaking bug that don't allow you to exit the tutorial.

Make DLC's for CoH2 instead, they'll sell more.

Actually better than it's highly successful predecessor, which is hard to accomplish.

I wasn't going to get this game at all. Space has never intrigued me, and I was skeptical of prioritization of this game instead of ES6. However, I'm glad I gave this game a shot and I loved almost all elements of the game. Outposts are pretty useless, and I wish they had more influence on the game, or at the very least provided some more opportunities or benefits. Space combat is good, and the different approaches to ground combat is also well implemented. NG+ could offer some more content, but all in all- this is a game that is worth getting.

People seem to love this game, and I frankly don't get it. The only cool feature this game has is the ability to micromange people. The attacks on the settlement are repetetive and an annoyance (You need to manually send deploy troops with a flag everytime, and often split them up because the raiders attack from multiple directions). The amount of buildings you can build feels very limited, and the very simple progressive building system was simply not appealing enough for me.

Pros:
- Micro management of people
- The way you can set up build orders
- Age of Empires style of resource fetching
- Graveyards that actually fill up as people die
- Music is better than average.

Cons:
- Combat is terrible, would frankly be better off without it at this stage.
- The setlements often result in a big square with maze-like walls, which makes it look really stupid.
- Un-attractive progressive system which makes the game boring and pointless.

The game is still in early access and has potential, but at this stage it simply isn't unique enough to be worth it.
Go play Anno 1800 or Medival Dynasty instead, you'll be better off. I'll try it again in the future and see if it has improved enough to change this review.
