I came into this game with zero expectations, outside of it being a simulator game with horror elements, it was a cheap enough game so I thought why not. Early on in playing it I was extremely pleasantly surprised that it was actually a very good game, the gameplay loop speaks a lot to the good game design that went into it, as I would say the best part of it has to be the ambience as without spoiling too much it's one of the few survival games that really made me feel like an actual survivor, rather than just doing chores (which is ironic considering the game) since having to go down into the depths to get more food and other resources has a very fun horror element to it that makes you both dread going down for more while being essentially forced to early on, making you wish to get to the point where you don't have to as much, which I liked a lot.

I think the game both lasted longer and shorter than I expected, originally I thought it would be an extremely short experience, then as certain features unlocked I assumed the game would last much longer to allow for someone to go through all of it, but again without spoiling it is very quick and easy to get to the ending of the game, which leads me to assume that you are supposed to manually put off finishing the game, or probably more likely, continue a save before you ended it.

I think all in all, this is a game that I would recommend anybody to play at least once, for me it was definitely worth the money and if you already had any sort of interest in trying it out, I recommend you go in as blind as possible since that was how I got into it and I'd say it's definitely a very fun game to go in blind on. As soon as I played my first hour of the game I was instantly looking at the developers other games because of how much I enjoyed the game design of it, and I cannot wait for a sequel or some similar game made by the same developer if that ever ends up happening.

Honestly, this truly feels like an underrated gem of a game, it's one of the most fun times I had playing with a friend. Personally I believe the game should only be played if you have friends willing to play it with you, of course theres also a singleplayer arcade mode but that can feel pretty frustrating at times and in my opinion not as fun as the multiplayer mode (but hey at least it teaches you valuable skills you can use against your friends, not to mention unlock new modifiers) It's definitely worth the price for how much enjoyment I got out of it so far.
