The Outer Wilds is one of the best games I have ever played. That's all I can say. If you feel compelled to be convinced, then what are you waiting for? An actual masterpiece that changed my life and thought processes. The feeling this experience gives is truly unmatched. Lightning in a bottle, once in a century type of game. No notes on what it could do or should do, it's incredible at doing everything on its own terms and not just the right way, but the only way. Please for the love of god go in completely blind and don't give up until you see those credits. You will thank yourself for it. My score cannot be understated:

10/10

What an incredible and beautiful piece of art.

I was as cautious and as skeptical as I could be, didn't even pre-order. But ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ CDPR delivered here. This expansion is glorious, and if you like Cyberpunk, you're going to love phantom liberty.

Rust is an interesting game. Probably set up to be one of the most addictive gameplay loops you could put yourself through, even when there is no real end goal. Been playing Rust since early alpha, and I'm amazed at how much this game has blossomed. As of the nuclear missle silo update, Rust seems to now be the complete game the devs were trying to make in the first place. So what is Rust? RUST, or Repopulation Unit Survival Test, is a survival game. You will spawn in naked with a rock and torch, and are expected to simply not die. While hitting a rock against objects like trees and other rocks are imperative to crafting a safe home to survive in, as well as creating weapons to defend yourself, that can take massive amounts of time. So the alternative is to hunt down other players, because they just did the hours of work all for you. One quick and sneaky kill, and you've just secured a bag worth about 6 hours of your time farming normally, all in 20 seconds. This mechanic very much pits everyone against each other, it truly is a dog eat dog world in Rust. That all being said, thanks to this mechanic, Rust attracts and populates EASILY the most toxic gaming community on the internet, bar none. I have over 8,000 hours in various counter strike games combined, and for the longest time, I figured league of legends or counter strike had the worst communities. They don't even come close to Rust. Not when one of the largest objectives in the game is to literally screw over anyone in your vicinity of their precious time and loot. It attracts those who love to troll or grief others like flies swarming to ♥♥♥♥. People will call you slurs, draw ♥♥♥♥♥ on your base, or just constantly harass you in the game world, making farming and just surviving very difficult. This can all make the game very daunting for people wanting to try it out, and tedious for those trying to grind away and learn. Rust is not a welcoming game, and it's even less forgiving. But if you have thick skin, an iron will, and a smart head on your shoulders, you can find a lot to enjoy in this game. A lot of people say it's better with friends, and while that can be true, I've found the solo experience to be much more relaxing, and less stressful, but to each their own.

All in all, Rust is one of the most fun and truly addicting games I've played ever. It's hard to fully describe with words what the true Rust experience is like, so you'll just have to try it for yourself to find out. Once you get on a roll, it will become almost impossible to convince yourself to stop playing. Usually you'll go until you die, and even then, the call of the loot beckons. If you're on the fence about this game, it is well worth the $40, so long as you can take the heat, otherwise get out of the kitchen!

After finally having seen pretty much all there is to see in Night City, I can confidently tell you that this is a good game. Combat isn't perfect, but it works enough to be very fun and addictive, as pretty much any build you work towards is guaranteed to be OP in the late game. The amount of choices you get to make is slim to none, and most of them don't actually matter until the endgame. There's still bugs and glitches here and there, but nothing like how it was on release, so it's perfectly playable and immersive.

This game is easily the MOST atmospheric game I've ever played. Most immersive too without being VR, which is astonishing. Every single street in Night City feels hand crafted, and nothing looks copy-pasted. Flow of missions happens pretty smoothly which adds to the immersion, similar to GTA V levels, except you could still walk away from conversation at pretty much any time unless it's a pre-made cutscene. The graphics are gorgeous, even without ray-tracing, and the sounds of Night City are perfect. Each weapon has its own unique animations and there's loads of detail packed not only in the weapons, but the cyberware as well. Once you start to learn more about the story in the deeper sense of the lore, the game really starts intriguing you to find out exactly what's next and how things happened to get where everyone is now. The character animations in pre-made cutscenes are essentially flawless, and some of the best animations I've ever seen. People seem lifelike during these scenes, they bounce their leg, they shift their eyes, they fidget, and most importantly, they express through their face accurately. Face animations are the real GOAT of this game and helps it tenfold.

All in all, grab this game if you're on the fence, it's totally worth it at this point, even for $60.

EDIT:

After another 300~ hours and the release of update 2.0 as well as Phantom Liberty, I can MORE than confidently recommend this game. It has become my escape from the real dystopia I suffer in. With the 2.0 update and PL, Cyberpunk 2077 is seemingly complete now. No other game has really come close to touching the level of immersion one can get in Night City. Cyberpunk is truly a next gen experience, and will be looked at highly for years to come. The stories, characters, stakes; everything feels just... REAL and RAW. Cyberpunk is an excellent reminder and warning for those high up in the tech industry: How far until you lose your humanity? Or a better question: How much of you can be turned chrome until you are no longer a person? So many questions, so many thoughts to go off of. All in all, Mike Pondsmith has created lightning in a bottle with his universe, and I absolutely cannot wait to absorb more of it.

If you haven't played Cyberpunk 2077 at this point, you are genuinely missing out. Easily one of the greatest games I've ever played. Truly, it has become my, and many others, comfort food. And the streets are always beckoning for the player to return.

So get out there, and go BE somebody, choom!

9/10 (Changed from an 8/10)

EDIT 2:

500 hours in, post 2.1 update, and this game is flourishing. I also have started playing the game in VR thanks to Luke Ross's mod, and it has completely opened up a new way to play. I could legitimately put another potential 500 hours into this game with the VR mod alone. Night City has never looked so real or immersive. This game, while initially flawed and still showing minor bugs to this day, is nothing short of a masterpiece.

I would change my review score to a 10 but the minor bugs keep me from pushing it. If I rated things based on a decimal system (which I don't), I would give it a 9.5. Nevertheless, this game to me is still highly addictive, extremely replayable, and overall just so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lovable. It delivers succinct messages of morality and gripping stories with excellent animations and stellar voice acting. The environmental storytelling Cyberpunk is able to achieve is brilliant, and often goes overlooked if you're not paying close attention. The overarching themes are truly immersive and a wild ride.

Cyberpunk is truly, with no exaggeration, objectively one of the greatest video games of all time. If you're looking for a sign to buy this game at full price, this is it right here, choom.

A short, hilarious game that makes fun of "The Witness". I have not played The Witness, but I can attest that one doesn't need to in order to enjoy this game. The puzzles are very easy, and the game is roughly an hour long, but some may complete it sooner. Being free, it is completely worth your time if you're looking for a good laugh.

Completely optimized for newer PC's, full mouse and keyboard support, and to top it off, it's even got an FOV slider that goes all the way up to 120 (Xbox 360 users played on about 60 or 70 FOV, I love my 110).

Other than that, it's straight up Halo on PC. And if you liked Halo on Xbox, you're gonna cream yourself over Halo on PC.

There's nothing like the warm fuzzy feeling of killing Nazi's, Earth's one true enemy.

As someone who is Jewish, this game is definitely an 11/10 for me. Sure it's poorly optimized for newer hardware. Sure, it checks every cliche box you can check. And sure, the graphics are a little dated for the time.

But if you're truly a decent human being, you'll grab this game when it's on sale like I did, you'll ♥♥♥♥ your dual-wielded weapons, and you'll ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ blow these ♥♥♥♥ heads away with complete satisfaction.

There's nothing like killing Nazi's, and this game does it best.
