No sun to worship is a fun retro stealth game, don't come in expecting to replay MGSV, this is closer to a more classic gameplay ... and to Splinter Cell. Long story short if you want to support an up and coming indie dev with really good (and important) narrative ideas, revisit old memories of sneaking past guards and improvising on the spot, go ahead, you will like it.


Now, the next part of the review is more guided to the dev (Antonio) as a review for him to improve his games on the future, experience the game first and then come back.

After completing the game I can see that this game could improve its experience by adding a very important element, a clearer communication on light levels.

I could see that Antonio took inspiration from splinter cell by using the scroll wheel to determine your speed of movement, and using light meters to tell the player how "see-able" he is in the environment.
My main problem while playing, was that, this meter NEVER went to 0, therefore in pitch black environment it always made me think that anyone could see me, and as an assasin or hitman, in this game, I could never become one with the shadows and immerse myself into the game, which contradicts the clear inspiration and use of these elements.
Also better visual contrast between dark and light would have made the creation of strategies in a lot of situations much clearer and rewarding. The lack of darkness in this game is kinda off putting and I think would highly increase the experience of the game in general.

I have another complaint, and thats the level design, each level has a different design language, the first two levels are built around a circle, these levels make this interesting in its use of different routes, my main problem was the Prison map, which is a literal circle (or square) and fails on letting the player use the abilities granted by placing tons of enemies in a hallway with pillars in the middle giving into a frustrating loop of getting noticed and having nowhere to run or hide.

but the last level involves something that surprised me in a good way, it involved infiltrating, all of the game we simply spawn inside the base, we never have to get in, this last level was by far the best, simply by this small detail: the player passes some mountains and approaches the small facility and for the first time in the game we can see the whole level, this made it much more satisfying to make a plan and test it after having a clearer image of how we can approach it , letting them use the elements they have learned during the game to create a unique experience, this simple detail would have been incredible for all the levels, having the opportunity to see a map or whats after the hallway that we are looking would have made it much more enjoyable and rewarding.

lastly, the narrative in no sun to worship is very important not only in a literary point but a selling point, which surprises me when most of the game there is no direct communication of the narrative, just small tidbits that dont really seem to build up on the importance of art.
I dont want to seem ignorant so sorry if i misrepresented the story, buuut in the gameplay I dont see a reflection on the importance of art, we are killing and we are therefore killing and eleminating purpose (art), but we still have objective markers, if we go back to replay, the prisoners (taht we are killing and punishing) are there to be killed, waiting, as the levels progress they are in the same places and in the same corners, the guards dont really have paths protecting them, and they are all the same model, I personally dont see anything in them other that an asset in a game engine. what im trying to say is that, as a player I didnt feel that what I was eleminating was important, or added meaning to the world we lived in, again Im sorry if im wrong in the story but something as interesting and relevant as the importance of art feels in this game as a cutscene when I started the game and when I finished it.

never the less No sun to worship was an inspiring and fun experience and I wish that you keep creating.

Bugsnax is a beautiful game for everyone. The Psychological horror tag on steam is not a joke, this game has body horror "for children" but Bugsnax with its wonderful story, amazing characters and absolutely wonderful voice acting it transforms the horrors that it presents into resolutions about our bodies, our relationship with food and accepting ourselves and the other people that surrounds us.

For the gameplay its comparable to pokemon "gotta catch em all", but its mechanics specially at the end make for satisfying solutions and challenging puzzles. This is all thanks to its very "Alive" gameplay with a lot of elements (fire, water, ice, etc) working with each other making plenty of correct solutions. You can really be creative with all the tools that the game gives you, But at some points specially in the middle the game for a moment feels like just fetch quests for others, thankfully these are quick and are just at the very satisfying end.

in conclusion this game is a great narrative experience even do sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming the overall story is amazing and its worth experiencing.

when i bought a 60$ dollar game that everywhere i looked it said "BORING" i was preparing myself to expect a BORING game with just walking, and i got that walking, but this people dont realize that the actual fun of death stranding is the progresion system that it has, building the highways to help other players, going to MULEs bases and getting all their materials to build more stuff and to make deliveries better, just like Minecraft, get stuff to do that stuff better.

But thats not the only thing, the encounters with BTs are nerve wracking Hideo did a great job making those encounters excellent leaving you with a feeling of acomplishment that you survived.

it might be repetitive and times but its not repetitive just for being repetitive is more grindy then repetitive, also it keeps it fresh with every new "location" that you find theres no copy and paste actors all of them have original lines and all of them have a story to tell.

The world building of death stranding is something that no other game has you talk to so many people and all of them have their specific views on the Death Stranding.

If you are tired of the same fps game or you are looking for an experience you will remember for a long time, dont think about it and buy it. if you are just looking for a game that you dont want to put too much thought into and just "turn your brain off and play" you wont like this game. the messages that it gives are great and this is a game that i hope it shows more game designers to take risks and to not limit their creativity.

dont read if you want to get to this game without knowing anyting

oh what do i say about this game, its not only a farming game u can do fishing, mining, having friends but this are the principal things if we consider everything now you have hundreds of hours for playing for example

MININ' in minin' u can do fighting , looking for treasures, fishing in the underground, getting minerals for getting new items, etc.

FISHIN' i think that fishin its kinda boring but offers content for some people (not me) in here you can go for making money or just trying to cath all fishes or you can find treasure chests with uh treasure (duh)

SOCIAL INTERACTIONS in here is meeting the people from the valley and having relationships with them. Theres a ton of choices of people that u can go from emo kids that program and are probably suicidal to a guy that is pretty uhhh BORING to a classic gamer girl

after this stardew valley has small flaws like not explaining good some things for example the fishing minigame its kinda hard to master at start but also the crops and ALL the crops and possibilities you have with this, this is why u need to have open the wiki AT ALL TIMES ( it helps alot )

but the thing that makes me keep playing this game is how you looked up the best crops for spring you get a dozen of them you placed them but you realise " uggh this farm is ugly" so you start putting paths brick walls and basicly making it your home then you start geting tired of watering the crops everyday so you need a sprinkler but oh no you need iron so you go to the mines and get your iron, and after all of that you get your coo, money or g wich is pretty satisfying. And this is what stardew valley makes the best your always busy, it might be stressful for some people but believe me at first you might leave it in your library for some days and you come back and beleive me you get ADDICTED i have this game on my pc and switch (i prefer playing on the go) and i love it theres also mods that give tons of more hours to this game

for the 8 hours on this game its acttuallly good cuz for some people like me hearing roleplay is dumb and akward BUT ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ THIS ROLEPLAY IS INTERESTING

Player unknown has been making this kind of games for other companies this being one of the first games that he has done by itself has been one of the best games i have played, i replaced csgo for this but if youre looking by the reviews trying to make a decision for buying it there are going to be some problems:
-you need good internet
-and a good computer
i doesent matter what kind of pc you have you MUST play this at low or very low for having a "good" expierence. The lag that everybody talks about its real doors open a second later after you press f granades are worst. another point is cars cars in this game are one of the most important things after guns and where you land but mr.unknown made this game SUPER REALISTIC but not with cars SPECIALLY MOTORCYCLES see this 2 wheeled kind of cars in this game are pure trash lets imagine that youre driving and you land normaly in any other game you would just keep going but in little battleground if you land a motorcycle IT FLIPS FOR NO FRICKING REASON and then well cuz gravity u fall down the bike and die this will be one of the biggest problems in this game but cars have SPECIAL POWERS like if you crash and your car flips well thats the end of the story cuz this game needs to be realistic so you cant unflip cars by pure force like in gta BUT LISTEN TO ME IF YOU HAVE A MEDiUM PC AND GOOD INTERNET BUY THIS GAME, IT IS WONDERFUL U GET ATACHED TO IT AFTER A FEW KILLS AND WHEN YOU START KNOWING HOW TO PLAY AND THE STRATEGIES YOU WILL HAVE THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE.

(sorry for bad english and puntuation and caps. cuz really this game is good if you learn how to have fun with it)
