Cute little Mario Land inspired platformer, complete with flying mech Shootem Up section! There were a couple minor bugs and its pretty short but its a pleasant enough ride thats well worth the tiny price of admission

Jank throwback to the late ps2 early ps3 era. Wonderful movement tech in a hybrid action RPG tower defence game based around height difference determining damage. Definitely influenced by stuff like Nier/Drakengard and Shadow of the Colossus. Insane that it doesn't have way more people talking about it

Originally bounced off of the game, its both admirable and foolish how they hold off on introducing the fun combat neuromods until like 3 or 4 hours into the game. Anyways its got amazing environment design, levels are top notch immersive sim fare with multiple ways to approach any given encounter and the process of transforming from desperately smacking mimics with a wrench to exploding enemies with your mind is very satisfying. The weapon arsenal forgoing the usual FPS stuff other than the shotgun and pistol (both of which need proper investment to make truly effective against enemies like they'd be in say, Bioshock, is great. The sci fi concepts and plot are intriguing and engaging even if they don't quite come together in the most satisfying ways. The dialogue and characterisation is at least better than Dishonored but still most of the core cast of characters you interact with I never really connected to, I think bad direction might be the culprit. Great game, give it a shot, especially if you enjoyed Deus Ex/Dishonored etc

Its got its share of bugs and starts to get a bit tedious by the end, but its such a unique and interesting take on the survival genre as a very rare playable documentary that I cannot help but be kind of obsessed with it. Give it a shot if it looks interesting and you dont mind the hands off approach to player guidance

What 1000x resist's sci fi narrative adventure game brings to the table is that its not only dense as hell plot and theme wise, feeling almost like an adaptation of some acclaimed novel, whilst also having stylistic flourishes that are both impressive and also feel purposeful in a way that a higher budget game probably wouldn't. They made a game this visually striking with what feels like cardboard sets and a few unity shaders. The starkness of the environment design and the various shifts of perspective from over the shoulder to first person to top down to side scroller in a way that feels elegant rather than whiplash to the extreme. Its the kind of game where I want to replay again with a notebook or something to try and make sense of it, but not in a tiresome "lore game" way of your dark souls of the world, but in a "rewatching Satoshi Kon's paprika to notice all the foreshadowing and symbolism better" way. Absolute banger and strong personal GOTY contender

Initially rolled my eyes seeing this on my discovery queue thinking it was another exit 8 knockoff to add to the pile, but actually it turns out thats completely wrong, its closer to a traditional surreal adventure game like superliminal or antichamber. Very brief, but pretty well done
