It’s funny to think back that approx. 10 years back, the younger version of me couldn’t even pass the first level in 4 hours of time in Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs before he uninstalled it and left it to “play later” categorization in his Steam Library.

Back to present, finished the whole game under the two and half hours. Well, it is product of the time; Encountered piggies are mostly just grotesque to look at and gameplay rolls around playing tag with them throughout multiple levels with little puzzle elements. Comes also with extra boosted SFX and screen shaking effects.

Tip: You (alone) + completely dark room + headphones = How the game is supposed to be played at.

If skipping the tip, for most players Fort Solis will feel like a log collector + slow paced walking simulator. Just a little bit more tension would please the masses in these days. Has that distinctive Unreal Game Engine feeling throughout the game.

For devs: Liked the game as overall, especially the end game section. Please utilize all the feedback and learned stuff from this project for a newer horror game. I bet people will love it.

Not much of a story in Boxes: Lost Fragments, lots of spinning and fiddling, enough maps to keep interested in but for experienced players easy to spot similar mechanics used again and again.

Final score
9 for beginners or first time experiencing these types of puzzle games.
7-8 for more experienced players, depending on your observation and memory skills.

I’m not big of a book guy to be honest (though, I do listen audiobooks time to time). So, don’t have any previous knowledge about the original book release from Stanisław Lem “The Invincible”.

For the most game is a walking simulator with medium to little gameplay available, for others it’s intriguing information heavy story game in a lonely planet with encounters of nothing to describe before.

Going to listen the original book via audio book service in a future to check how well it follows the original book story line.

Starting from interesting story, unfortunately the few gameplay breaking bugs left a feeling of still needing few patches to get more enjoyable experience out of Moon Mystery.

These said bugs as

– generally crashing in middle of combat
– randomly getting stuck while running
– dying in elevators when jumping

Originally gave not recommended, but eventually rethinking. This will be solid final score experience after few patches, which hopefully fix my own issues with the game.

For moderate FPS player, you'll enjoy more by playing at least in Hard difficulty and without seeing enemy HP bar. Additionally would like to see more similar but better polished projects from the game studio itself.

Colorful indie 3D puzzle game for younger minds and families alike. Point, click, roll, pull and observe surroundings and interactions. Are you ready to GNOG?

Picked this from my Humble Bundle Choice listing while back and didn’t check any other reviews before completing Blacktail.

After first two hours the base gameplay was clear as game rolls with good & evil karma theme, where specific upgrades are related how big karma rank you have. So, being a neutral isn’t efficient in the end game.

Game has a lot of mechanics eventually revealed, but most of them feel just an addition to game and not really polished enough to be enjoyable with the other mechanics. Map is large, but a few end areas just feel completely unnecessary filler content.

Story itself is interesting, leaving me a mark to be interested in a folklore and mythology-based games in the future. These said, the game is good learning opportunity for the development studio itself and keeping eyes open for their future releases.

Personally, I don’t understand art. Therefore, reviewing Harold Halibut by single sentence of: “You cannot explain the art, you need to experience itself” is a pretty confusing statement.

The visual aesthetic was the main hook that kept playing till the end. The “claylike” characters and their movements reminds me old Wallace & Gromit claymotion movies. Just thinking back then just the amount of time it must have taken to complete the movie, luckily, we still have people around us that will proceed with their projects even taken time with it.

If you ever have a time, to experience something

– main character is simpleminded, but still mysterious enigma
– old but still gold visual style
– familiar premise but still thought-provoking storyline

Then Harold Halibut is the perfect choice for a weekend playthrough.

Final score: 9/10

Huge thanks to the developer Slow Bros. of the amount of time they put to game project and final product it eventually came to be as an beautiful presentation of stop-motion game.

Notice: Does not have filter for Arachnofobia, therefore be aware of the game middle section.

Ask from yourself these question:
Do you have some communication issues in your relationship?
Is there something to talk about, but never had a chance for it?
Have you lost the reason you originally found the other person attractive?
Like to find a common enemy to hate and find a solution for questions above?

Well normal couple would either start talking or go to relationship counseling. But if you are two gamers, you probably end up playing It Takes Two instead.

Story wise game follows typical “we stopped loving each other for no reason” type of situation, where their daughter is the key role of it (not continuing to be spoiler free).

Each “map” is beautifully built with each new game mechanics to play with and the hidden minigames to stop and compete against your other half. Either these will spike a healthy competition between each other or will highlight the issues in your relationship.

Reminder: Comes with friend pass feature, so only single game needs to be bought to both enjoy the game. Personally wishing to see this feature to utilize more (as it cuts the game price to half basically).

Note: Game does not have any enemies, so players with thalassaphobia, try to enjoy.

Clean the sea and sea floor from pollution, plastics and metal junk a like with new gadgets and upgrades.

Find new axolotl-like alien friends; Feed, clean, and take them to your base to look after and play with. Eventually you might want to release them back to sea.

Comes with cozy setup and super cute graphics, relax, and take it easy. Let the beats take all current worries away and become one with the sea.

Really hope to see a Loddlenaut 2 (not confirmed anywhere yet). Game had such an impact, that it made me to donate to local marine support organization of our Baltic Sea to keep it clean.
