This is it everyone. This is perfection. I was lucky to live and see the release of Portal 2, I remember getting extremely excited to play it because I saw a youtube video of it and thought the game looked great. VALVE is a totally different kind of beast, everything they produce is at least GREAT, and I really admire that, Portal 2 however is the game that goes beyond that level for me. I really don't have any complaints here and I could praise it for hours non-stop. It looks like a silly puzzle game like any other, but I promise you this game is DEEP, not in a boring way, it presents it's ideas in a fun, interesting way that also manages to show levels of complexity you don't really expect. I love this game, this and Majora's Mask are my favorite games ever.

What the hell... this is way better than I remembered. It's so unique, so artistic, who made this? It's amazing. Glad to have played this in my childhood, but even better is the fact that it is in fact, a masterpiece of RPG Maker games.

Started playing it as son as I bought and couldn't stop until I finished it.
It's an amazing experience, I made TONS of notes and this was the most fun I had in a while. It's really what it advertises itself as, it's a detective game where you actually need to work for it, at least for the most part.

Loved this game, it's been a long time since I last managed to get this immersed.

THIS GAME IS NOT FUN BUT HAS A LOT OF HEART.

Unfortunately, despite beautiful animations, visuals and a nice moveset the level design is just... not fun. Too much backtracking, talking and confusing objectives. Why the hell would you put such a punitive fall damage on a 3D platformer...?
Still, I can see this game has a lot heart and it's hard to hit a "NEGATIVE" review.

Wow this is surprisingly fun, really. I thought it was gonna be a slop repetitive sport game, but it actually manages to hit JUST the right spot of game feel.
Congrats to the dev, the sound design is a huge part of why this game works so well, it's really satisfying to ski around and hear the snow noises, rock... wood etc... it feels like Skate 3 in a way.

God this game is awesome... I remember playing it on release. I had lots of fun with the moveset and the levels, but what I like the most about A Hat in Time is how much HEART it has. It's often that we see indie games made with love, but this one goes on a whole other level... it's not only fun but it's also memorable, it's beautiful. The music, the characters... I love this game. This is my Super Mario 64.

I love 3D platformers, they might be my favorite genre to be honest, and as I've never played Spyro, I decided to give a try on the remake. I 100%ed it on Switch, and I decided to buy it again just because "why not".
While I DID in fact 100%ed it on the Switch, I... didn't like it very much?
I only played the first game, and I don't have the time nor interest to play the other ones since my issue with the first game seems to be present on all installments.
I don't like Spyro's moveset. I think it's WAY too basic, too slow, Idk, it's just not fun for me. I like trying to cut through objectives, sort of make my own my way through them like in Mario 64, Banjo, even the Pac-Man game as far as I remember. Spyro is more of a contemplative game in the sense that you just walk around, collect the gems and statues and that's it, there is no (for me) ''oh this is so cool" moment, it's almost as if you're supposed to turn your brain off.
Now, I am NOT saying this is a bad thing, it's just not what I'm into. I also don't care very much for the music and the general style... well...

TL;DR: This game is NOT for me, it doesn't mean it's bad, but it's not for me.

I actually beat this game on release, however after forgetting 90% of it, I decided to replay it.
I love the police station bit, thankfully it's where most of the game takes place, because UNFORTUNATELY I REALLY dislike what comes next. Even though it doesn't last as long, the next 2 areas are just not as fun, and that really sort of breaks the game for me. Still, it's one of the best games ever made for sure, and despite this one issue, I loved it.
