Got my money's worth. That was a fun play. Probably going to go back and get the rest of the art.
Story needs a little more body as far as explaining what's going, but the gist is there.
Kinda wish you got the more advanced movement stuffs earlier on, getting it for the last few levels leaves fun mechanics out for most of the game.
Getting them earlier would break levels but you can do that anyways in the pursuit of the next rifle waifu (raifu, if you will) hidden picture or stat point

Load in after not playing for a bit, go to a village for loot. PVE enemy comes up the stairs, shoot him three times in the face. Nothing. Get shot once with armor and helmet on, back to camp!

Win without moving achievement doesn't work, definitely auto-piloted my way through a few floors without getting it :(

It Ain't ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Hawken.
Hawken was a fast-paced ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of a tdm/ctf/koth or co-op vs bots. It was not a slow-paced, plodding grind of an FPS RPG.

Not a bad game! BUT. Multiplayer needs work. Remote play together is not the way to go for this kinda game :(

Souls-like with guns... But lack of ammo and description states "Use Melee!"
But flying enemies? No leash range so the "It's okay to lose" translates to "Get F U C K E D idiot you're losing 15-30 minutes of wandering because you CANNOT DISENGAGE FROM FIGHTS. You either kill everything that jumps out of the ground at random or you die! The abominations that roll around and pin you into corners giving you no chance at all, that's a great mechanic.
Haven't found a proper key binding for shooting and melee because somehow dev team thought it'd be a GREAT idea to have the player get locked into a melee chain when trying to ADS and shoot.
Co-op Ammo Sharing is NOT a thing. Every other resource? Shared. Ammo? No, you need to co-ordinate about that s h i t when it seems most of the boss fights REQUIRE RANGED ATTACK AND MAKE MELEE A THING THAT IS NOT FEASIBLE.
Holy S H I T I know this game is supposed to be hard but I'm on the easiest difficulty and getting stone-walled.
Watched boss fight vids, followed the build, followed the tactics... Sha'Halah? Nop, that a s s hole drops his black hole on my face EVERY G O D D A M N F U C K I N G TIME and I cannot escape. I finish dodging the hands and lasers and there's the death orb back to the world stone gg. I'm not rerolling campaign over and over again. I'm not waiting until the stars align and I can get a friend on to play with. Not even going to get started on the other ♥♥♥♥ shows that the dev team calls boss fights.
One of the first patches was to add HEY THE STORY CONTINUES OVER HERE markers because Gunfire Games decided to fully embrace the Souls-Like without actually playing the Souls-like games, and without really listening to the feedback from the first Remnant all that much.
Refund #2 and a long wait for the dev team to patch and otherwise fix the broken s h i t, either that or wait for the game to get Bethesda'd to f u c k.

That... that was a game. 8hr to get through the story with half-assed collection of the random ♥♥♥♥ to find.
Play it. It's got Borderlands vibes and it's... Amusing. Don't Be Offended by ANYTHING. You can kill almost anyone, and your choices don't really matter :)

The repeated grind and almost total lack of player co-ordination/communication (DEFAULT PUSH TO TALK IS "V", USE IT), combined with lack of features locked behind updates because the game was released in an unfinished state... Oh never mind the stupidly long load times that were made longer after the most recent update despite the game being on an NVMe SSD...
Yeah either have another 3 friends on VoIP or don't bother playing. Unless you like trying to make it through a mission that requires 4 players working together, but doing it Solo because the other "people" on your "team" aren't going to do sweet F U C K all towards situational awareness or really doing anything aside from trying to rack up a body count that isn't tracked on an individual basis but a team one. It's a f u c k ing struggle trying to play solo. Maybe one in five matches will have someone using comms and even then to a limited degree.

Online Co-op and Online PvP are two different things, listed on the store page.
The "Online Co-op" is also the "Online PvP.

It's got Binding of Isaac and Enter the Gungeon vibes but also you can make a home base and farm ♥♥♥♥ and have followers for your cult..
For a game I didn't think I'd have much interest in, 15hr later...
Probably gonna need some DLC or a major update for me to play again and again, but it's a fun game to be sure :D
