Yes, as a research of how to make a game, this is invaluable. It's actually quite fun once you get a hang of the controls and commands.

I played this a lot more in the Dungeon Crawler game jam, but I still love it!

It's a really interesting take on the dungeon crawler. It cuts out a lot of the "fat" so to speak, and focuses one just the mechanics of the process. Whatever you think about this design choice, I believe it has merit, and it really made me think about what games are, and why we play them.

I think it's a fantastic look into game mechanics design, and would heartily recommend it to other game developers. Also, anyone who enjoys dungeon crawlers in general, I feel like it make an important contribution to the genre, but filtering things down to almost the most basic level.

I am surprised I never wrote a review for this game. It was really fun. Not super complex or involved, but a fun story that provided some good challenges.

UPDATE: The lack of proper A-Life is kind of criminal at this point. I am still enjoying the game, with the understanding that this is not S.T.A.L.K.E.R., but rather S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. They are different games. It is not as good as the originals. But overall I am still enjoying it, and would still recommend it.

Well what can I say ... I've been waiting over 12 years for this game and I love it. It's a thing of absolute beauty.

I have a few caveats. I had to turn off a lot of the HUD in order to recapture the original feel of S.T.A.L.K.E.R., but it was easy enough. The originals had the same feature, so it felt right at home.

The boodsucker was a bit overpowered as compared to the old ones. Maybe I've just lost my edge in the intervening years. But after a few attempts, it was toast.

The real reason I loved the original games was always the exploration aspect, and that seems perfectly intact. I am happy it finally came out, and it feels like it was worth the wait.

Wow, I can't believe I never reviewed this... the game that got it all started (it terms of me learning about Steam and all that).

Excellent game. Virtually flawless. I can't think of a game that was better, although I have some personal preferences that I enjoyed just as much or more. But in terms of objective quality, this may be one of the best games ever.

If you enjoy a short, fun, horror experience this is great!

After playing just a few minutes I already love it. I loved the first one, and this is just a perfect sequel so far. Intriguing new mechanics, with a familiar interface and gameplay.

It seems really easy and simple at first, but the game is actually quite challenging, in the best way. If you die, it is always clear why it happened and it is a teaching moment, I love this about it.

It is really good, creepy, atmospheric and engaging game music.

The music was one of the first things that drew me into the game itself, so I was very excited to get the soundtrack when it became available.
