At last!! Haha!
Its everything I wanted it to be and more! We are back baby. Old school Doom has returned with just a little bit of modernisation. I am highly biased because I love Doom. I've been playing it since day 1 (December 10 1993) and this is a return to form.
Now for the performance. It runs magnificent. Smooth as butter. Over 200fps at 4K with everything maxed. No stutter. No slow down. No input lag for those wondering. Well the worth the price. I have the collector's edition so of course I paid the premium but when it comes to Doom price is no object.

This game is soooo good. Soooo fun and I just can't get enough of it! I hope it lasts a while because I am having a blast! An almost 10 year old game is better than modern games. Respawn Entertainment really know how to make a good game.
I can see some inspiration from Half-Life, Half-Life 2 and Doom 2016. Which is a good thing. Not that I was looking for comparisons but I noticed is all.

If you like FPS (which I do) and battling in mechs this game is a must buy.

This is literally a comic book come to life! The story started off slow but I just finished season 1 episode 2 and its getting reaallllly good! I am hooked.
Being a huge fan of the show I can see where some of the characters came from as they are in different settings in this game. I won't go into details because I don't want to spoil it but its told from different perspectives and different areas. Some are familiar but not 100% and others are completely different that I don't think were ever on the show. And if they were they are different enough to stand apart.

If you're a fan of the tv show or comics this is a must have.

Not as it is right now. Frame spikes make it difficult to play. Keep running into walls because the frames don't render at the correct time.

Was recommended this by a guy at work. I was a bit skeptical at first.
I had crashes at first due to a driver time out (AMD) but that's been fixed now with the Adrenalin version: 23.40.19.01 - Released 2/15.

The machines look like Terminators and it feels like I'm fighting in the resistance! At the same time it feels like Star Wars, Star Trek, Stargate SG-1 and a host of other sci-fi. This game is a sleeper hit. I had pretty much zero knowledge about it. Just saw an article about it. Just the headline but I didn't read it. I went in fresh without any expectations and I am pleasantly surprised.

Do I even need to say anything. Its Quake get it!
I especially like that there is a nightmare skill setting now so it gives me another reason to play it again. Not that I need one :D

edit:
Where's Quake II 64? Supposed to be free with the update isn't it?

Really good game. The setting is interesting, different to the norm but still familiar traits of FPS so you don't feel alienated.
The combat is good and the puzzles are varied so it doesn't get boring with repetitiveness like some other shooters.
It feels a bit like Bioshock but its not as in-depth with the crafting. It even has some "under water" elements. Though its not actually water. I won't say anymore as I don't want to spoil it for people.

If you're a fan of FPS and want something a little different this is definitely worth it.

Best survival game I've played.
The level of detail is amazing. For example. When chopping down a tree it shows where the axe hits and the bits of wood flying off.
The day night cycle is at a good pace. The AI is pretty smart. They've caught me off guard a few times. They are good at team work. And there are mutated creatures that are freaky af.
I can see myself pouring hundreds of hours into this.

Really good game. Retro shooter with modern elements (wall running, double jump, dash & double dash) and really fun. Well worth the money.
