Early Access Review
For a game in Early Access, it is very satisfying so far!
There's lots of rough elements that need smoothing out, for instance the leveling system doesn't seem very impactful when it comes to leveling stats your class isn't focused on, and for the majority of playstyles handling combat with more than two enemies feels way more chaotic than it should feel. Additionally there's some small QoL issues like not being able to preview or disable transmorgs or the main area teleporter menu popping up automatically and causing you to teleport to a place you didn't want to.
But criticism being out of the way, there's a lot of potential to be had in this game! The gameplay is very enjoyable and I very much like the action RPG aspect to Atlyss' dungeoncrawling. Also, as someone who found most MMOs overwhelming in terms of how they are handled socially, a lobby system feels like a very comfortable and contained change of pace.
I trust that future updates will provide even more customizability when it comes to both class building (like mixing classes) and cosmetic upgrades (more body options and a wider array of clothing)! Waiting impatiently for future updates.

One of the most beautiful and clever stories told through a medium of video games. Please, I'm almost begging you to check it out, it's such an important little thing that changes lives for the better and almost effortlessly squeezes tears out of your eyes.

Genuinely such a beautiful game, a harsh and wondrous experience that touched me in so many ways. I can't overstate how important it is that Rain World exists. It's a perfect exploration-focused brutal survival platformer with an ecosystem that feels very alive, worldbuilding that utterly fascinates me, mechanics that drive me towards my need for challenge and mastery, and a story that left me in tears.

Early Access Review
It's not even out yet, and it already became one of my favourite games ever. Excellent both in gameplay, presentation, tone and execution of all other subjects I can imagine. Hell yeah!!!

For as much as I was excited to get to this game, I must unfortunately say that it was a disappointment. I think it would've been fine if the whole premise revolved around the combat/musical gameplay mechanics and was more built around them, but instead Everhood tries to insist that it is a narratively rich video game while not really presenting any deeper points or engaging the player. It likes to pretend that there is a bond being built between you and the characters, but it never attempts to make you care about them. The pacing is all over the place and everything happens so fast that it's almost impossible to focus on any event or conversation. The best thing I can say is that it's a game with lots of potential, which sadly goes untouched. It doesn't know what it wants to be and therefore any identity it has leaks from it. In short, it doesn't give anyone a reason to care about what it wants to say.
