After playing for a little while I can see where some gripes are deserved and where it isnt. Before that though, I thoroughly have enjoyed playing the vanilla version of this game. Simply jumping in and loading up one of the many maps and slowly learning about all the deep rich simulated city is great. Building and improving the city is smooth and the menus smoother.

You can see that there is room left for new assets to be added and features to be implemented in dlc most likely, but I enjoy this more at just a base game level than City Skylines first run at it.

Obviously the elephant in the room is releasing in poor optimizations and high computer requirements. Is it excusable no, but is there some understanding yes. It a similar story thanks to the consoles and companies pushing for release dates and cramming last second. I have experienced stutters, though not world ending, that do prove annoying. But as a lover of the game, I will gladly ignore all other reviews online and in store and gladly say if you meet the recommended requirements and love the first one, enjoy away. Otherwise I sadly say please wait for some patches and jump on in later.

Ever want to sit down and let a small town bud out naturally while listening to calming music. What more can I say, you can spend hours just trying to either maximize score or just putting tiles together the way you want, once you understand the scoring the tiles almost place themselves.

Early Access Review
*Sits in discord call with 7 people talking at the same time and is completely silent.*

Them: Hey why are you so quiet?
Someone Else: Oh he is suffering from PTSD.
Them: Oh my, what caused it.
Someone Else: You miss understood, its Post Traumatic Squad Disorder. He often squad leads and has become numb to several people yelling at him.

I love city builders and resource management games. This has both of those and the campaigns that add tough choices to your every decision. I would recommend this game just for its simple and fun gameplay.

The game itself is a whole lot of fun from the survival tatics to the in game combat mechanics. Of course with the game not being complete there is still need for a lot of optimization and for glitches. I suggest this game to people who have friends willing to play as it is the most fun when with friends.

But one thing you must realize before you buy. You only have a 6% chance of winning your first game either by skill or luck. So don't be discouraged by not winning your first game.

Other wise the game is great just now looking to the future to see it leave early access... To Be Continued...

Above was my previous review before the big update, but now my idea of this game has changed. Until they Region Lock the Servers and Find a way to permantly fix the hacking problem as I have first hand experience with people having no recoil moving fast and seeing people through walls.

This makes the game unplayable and a absolute horid game to play. Do not buy is the bigg message to be put on this game.

Update time: 3 reasons

1. The Steam Awards

2. I recently spammed this game and join its reddit in a rave as I went to complete some of the achievements. Once I did Lazy Bastard followed by There's No Spoon, I fell over and gave up for a week jumped back on and am currently playing on and off.

3. The Steam Awards return of the Awards. I play this on and off since owning it and still will find that if I pick it up for one day its a week before I stop. Addictive and Re-playable. Note: I do not mod it for my own sanity...

Also go find the review of the guy who says played a bit and has 1,800+ hours.
