There are still so many things you can do in this game, I've learned to set a goal for each gaming session. If you like digging, you'll dig. If you like crafting, almost everything (including the critters) is a crafting material. If you like magic, there are magical items; if you like swinging a sword, there are plenty of swords. If you want to be like the Belmonts from the Castlevania series and attack using a flail, you can do that. If you want to be like Spider-Man and throw out "webs" to pull yourself along, you can do that, too. And eventually, you will be able to fly.

I probably should not have started out with the larger world setting; over 200 hours into the game, I still have not wrapped around the map on the surface, much less dug deep enough to reach the lava. Speaking of maps, don't leave home without your wiki.[terraria.gamepedia.com] You'll need it to know the crafting recipes.

But to close, Dr. Seuss sums it up nicely:

All Alone!
Whether you like it or not,
Alone will be something
you’ll be quite a lot.

And when you’re alone, there’s a very good chance
you’ll meet things that scare you right out of your pants.
There are some, down the road between hither and yon,

Just FYI . . .

I didn't want to have to post things like this, but it's best to just have it out there. Boundaries must be set and stated clearly.

If I have banned you from a group I moderate, don't send me a friend request in an attempt to talk me into lifting your ban. I banned you for a reason, and you will see that reason. If the ban was temporary and you decide you want to grief about it in the open, expect the next ban to be permanent. I do NOT accept friend requests from a person I've banned while it is still in effect. Discuss your issues with another moderator to relay to me.

Any trade I make WILL take 15 days because I don't use the Steam app on my phone. It will NOT take less than 15 days. Also, if I friend you to make a trade - and I don't trade with non-friends - that trade is with YOU, not your friend/alt/bot. Don't make things more complicated, I don't have time for that.
Don't send a friend request because you see that I have lots of stuff and maybe I'll just give some to you. I work hard for my money and I spend it on things I like. If you want stuff, work to buy it. As Robert Heinlein said, "There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch." This has happened a couple of times recent to this boundary addition. I'll unfriend and block you instantly, like I did the last one.

If you grief me by way of posting comments on my content, I'll block you. Trust me, it happens more often than I'd like. Just don't.

I don't mind accepting friend requests from private profiles. What I DO mind is when a private profile turns out to be completely private, even to friends. That's a good way to get unfriended.

In my comments section
1. No drug/sex references posted by guests of my profile are allowed. This includes the Port Royale marijuana emoticon or any other emoticon that references drugs or sex. I don't want to see that mess, and some of my other friends might not want to see it either.

2. No "be my friend/join my group" comments. If you want to advertise on MY space, you'll have to pay for the privilege. 10 items - cards, backgrounds, emoticons - that I don't already have and might find interesting. I reserve the right to refuse a trade, even for "paid advertising".
