Loved Hades I to pieces, and I love Hades II as well. The playstyle with Melinoe requires you to think a bit more and spam-dodge a bit less due to the sprint mechanic being altered slightly. I do enjoy Hades I's "ooga-booga" playstyle more for fast(er) runs--mostly because skill issue--but the amount of variety within the weapons you get in this game is fantastic. The art and music live up to the absurdly high expectations of a Supergiant game, and the voice-acting is stellar, as per usual. Oddly enough, I thought I would binge this game as soon as it came out, but for some reason EA is making me want to take my time with it. The quality of the updates is something that's rarely seen in AAA-games.

I think my only (mild) criticism is that sometimes it's hard to see what's going on screen with all of the visual effects on top of the highly detailed landscapes. All of the areas are stunning, but sometimes there just seems to be a bit *too* much going on at the same time for my eyes. All in all, Hades II is a definite buy, either during Early Access or afterwards.

This game is right up my alley and it's very satisfying. Except for the part where apparently it triggers motion sickness for me. So unfortunately this is the end of my powerwashing career :(
