FTL was a really great game up until the final boss which is overpowered to the point of absurdity. There are only 1 or 2 very specific strategies that will work, so all of the customization you put into your ship will be irrelevant if it doesn't fit into that specific criteria. For reference, I had 2x tier 3 weapons, 1x tier 2x weapon, weapons pre-ignitor, and advanced auto-loader, and maxed out energy for weapons and 3 shields among other things and cruised through every battle up until that point. However, if you do not have a super shield or cloaking then you are SOL when it comes to the final battle.

Furthermore, the final battle requires you to win 3 times in a row without a chance to repair while each new battle has the final boss start at full health and full shielding! Neither the health bar nor the number of shields decreased from one battle to the next. However, your health remains at whatever it was for the last battle.

There is difficult and then there is this nonsense. Games like Dark Souls are fun because they are difficult but fair, the final battle in FTL is nothing like and is completely unbalanced. It pigeon holes you into a very specific loadout removing all of the flexibility the game had given you to date which in turn completely sours the entire experience.

Had it not been for this FTL would be a very strongly recommend, but as it is I cannot recommend it as makes it feels as though the journey has been a waste of time for not having specific items.

Just a really short and simple review of my impressions of Shadow Warrior.

I came into Shadow Warrior without very high expectations, but figured it was worth a shot especially as I got it for free from Humble Bundle and had gotten fairly good reviews. I was almost instantly blown away at how good and fun the combat was with its sword play and variety of skills. The combat is very fast paced and working in swords combos and chi skills is a ton of fun!

Equally impressive was Shadow Warrior’s story, which at first, I thought was going be fairly generic or even predicable. But Shadow Warrior proved me wrong time and time again and almost every prediction I had about the ending was completely wrong. The ending took me by surprise and was wholly satisfying and sadly tragic.

TLDR; Shadow Warrior is a game that exceeded my expectations in every way imaginable and has instantly become one of my favorite action games of all time.

Excellent simulation game that, contrary to it's appearance, is no easy game and is highly recommend to any fan of simulation, stat management, or choose your own adventure style games.

Long Live the Queen is highly re-playable with features such as:
-branching dialogue
-numerous paths that will only open up when you meet certain criteria
-events/tasks with multiple solutions
-unlock-able outfits
-unlock-able characters
-unlock-able locations
-multiple endings

The sheer re-playability is outstanding and we can only hope more games, or a sequel, will be created in this manner!

Castlevania LoS was a very good game. It's strongest point was that it had a really solid fighting system, along with abilities that were progressively unlocked. The fighting always felt really satisfying and switching between various abilities to keep your momentum going is a lot of fun. My only real complaint as far as unlocks go was that some one in particular came late in the game, but overall they unlocked at a good rate. This i

The story itself was pretty good. It's nothing new, but it's nor inherently bad it just pretty predictable; especially the so called plot twist that can be spotted coming a mile away. But, the characters themselves were interesting and the voice actors were top notch.

My biggest gripe would be the camera angles. At times it felt like I was constantly battling the game to get a decent viewing angle. This is further compounded by some of the hidden items being out of view, mostly due to the fact that the camera was often at a static angle and until you stepped into the right spot you wouldn't be able to see it.

Despite any complaints or misgivings I may have mentioned, overall Castlevania Lords of Shadow was a lot of fun to play and a great game overall. I would definitely recommend CLoS to any fans of Hack n Slash genre or God of War type fighting.
