I'm not sure why the story had so much fluff, but the game ended pretty strong, even if it took way too long to get there. Feels like it was written before Gaiden so some of the plot is annoyingly inconsistent. Game-play is immeasurably better than YLAD, not even close.

Also has a boss fight that is so unreasonably amazing and cool that unfortunately overshadowed pretty much every other fight, including the final boss. Easily top 3 boss fights in any game I've played, it was seriously that good.

RGG cannot miss with their recent titles
one of the best stories in the series with a very cool villain and final boss, and definitely has the absolute best combat in the series and in one of the best in games in general, everything about the styles and fighting is amazing
Only bad part is a bit of fluff and completely unnecessary systems such as parkour, stealth, chase, and tailing, remove/overhaul all of that in a sequel and it will be a 10/10

ive played maybe 1/20 that were actually fun, the gold scores are just stupid for the score based ones
to pass you need to kill like 30 enemies but for gold its 200? just a waste of time
whenever the game tries to be a platformer or gets rid of health regen its HORRIBLE
since its a side option (albeit mandatory for upgrades) and the golds aren't required (still stupid to make score requirements so absurd) i still recommend

Much like TP1, TP2 has usurped the title of being the best game in the puzzle genre for both the puzzles and the philosophy.
Taking the title from yourself is a bit weird, but the only con so far is that I wish I wasn't halfway done already. Definitely quality over quantity with the puzzles it seems.

One of the best endings to a game series I've played, definitely rivaling Y0 in terms of how good it was, even if it was wayyy shorter than the other games in the series. I don't know how they could have ended it better
