Works great on Steamdeck and I find it fun. Love the cute art and, in terms of gameplay, the linear grid system is both fun and interesting. They have a ton of environmental effects, modifiers, and characters that change it up as well. Overall, I think the replayability is on the stronger side. The difficulty is pretty hard, but if you stick with it through a few runs it starts to make sense, because the game is balanced around unlocks. That said, it's still challenging, at 10 hours in I only just successfully completed my first run.

Fun art design, colors, and I love the soundtrack. Well priced, fun little platformer with Sonic vibes. Great on Steam Deck.

Fantastically fun little game at a sweet price point. Each battle actually gives you the sense of a puzzle to be figured out and that's where the depth shines. As you get better you're able to rethink battles that otherwise feel lost only to find a way through it. I often find myself doing it one way, only to realize there's a better way. Strategically you also have to balance offense vs defense, but also who on defense and who on offense.

It's not a large game on the surface with only 20 levels, but there is a surprising amount of replayability and depth, to the point that it really doesn't feel that way. You have the RNG with a ton of starting classes, but then you can even select from balanced, defensive, etc. setups. The item you get after beating a level gives the right amount of choice and randomness. The same goes for leveling up your classes, both choice and randomness.
And then there is a plethora of unlockable modes.

Update: Works completely fine on the steam deck. You just use the tracking pad on the right. I mean, it's not quite as easy as easy on desktop but it's very playable. Using the touchscreen also works great. I actually quite enjoy it on my deck too. Playable.

Not interested in wasting hundreds of hours in aim arenas for extremely marginal gains in rank? Hell-o Boomers this is for you. Slow, objective, team-based play with mics. This is extremely tactical with hints of RTS. Fantastic game with solid dev support. If you're looking for fast twitchty solo play, that this is not.

Bland and boring coop waves. Rent-a-gun monetization. Uninstalled, I'd rather eat an ice cream cone.

Couldn't ever get the coop working, but the single-player is a fun play through. The mechanic of automated kills is actually a lot of fun, I feel much more badass than when I miss everyone manually.

You know, sometimes you just have to get past your first impression of someone without labeling them. People got a bit overly histaric and are leading people to believe this is an awful game in a shell of its former self. Initially I thought so, we had issues connect to games, the social UI is not a seamless part of the experience, and there was no hope of single player. Within the same day the first and last of those issues were fixed.

Really, it just take a little getting used to. It's change and people didn't expect it, so they were aprehensive about it. The core game itself is still here and there are some neat new features. The talk of the a cash shop is a bit overblown, the only thing you can buy is an emote for $1... but they've eliminated all of the cost for DLC in the meantime mind you. All that aside, it's a game I paid $6 for. Of course I recommend this, it's great fun despite a bit of clunkyness on it's new connection platform.

PS Trendy. Everygame other game that has helmets and other visuals allows it to be optional to show. Most of the masks and helmets look out of place and ruin the art direction of the great character models. I don't want every character to look like Scorpion from Mortal Kombat. Pls.

Easy to pick up, a lot of fun! Memorable and unique characters and personality to the game. Well worth it.
